Looking to get the wife an Apple watch, not as good as the Garmin for me but it seems she would like get one.... Not looking top end I see its at number 7 in their series but looking one that will record her heart sleep all that malarkey..

I seen that they scratch easy from previous posts, has that been improved with the newer versions?

GAA Discussion / Re: County Manager Merry go round

Are there many Kilcoo players that would make much difference at county level, even down at Div 3 standard? Club & County football are like 2 different games now. Kilcoo always struck me as a team who had good to very good club footballers in every position rather than having a few players who would set the county scene alight.

Whether he brings Kilcoo players in or not isn't the thing that strikes me, it will be if he brings in that work ethic, the style of play, the annoyance of their on the edge tackling (in a good way) that that team brought to big games, the system they work with will only work if they all buy into it..

It has taken Kilcoo a few years to benefit from that game plan, will intercounty mangers get the same?

So who gets to decide? the 1% who generate the most money? Bit strange seafoid, I thought you were always against the 1% in life..

I suppose everyone has a price

Explain to me how club schedules are all over the place? We are in the throws of football and hurling championships here in Antrim at all levels, games being streamed across all, gates are up as games are spread over the weekend allowing for folk to watch whatever grade they like..

2 aspects from today's OTB

Ann Downey of KK camogie said players don't get enough time to prepare for the all Ireland Final and that she would prefer September finals
Because the season is shorter the GAA's ad income is going to be lower

So any news from the club players? Or are you just going to quote county players? the 1%

Great stuff BH, and its no coincidence that it happen when Kerry lifted Sam, what a fantastic summer you have had..

We have had some great chats and your support during my darkest days with my dad's and sisters cancer journeys has been uplifting..

So onwards and upwards to you

I have a basket over the fireplace that has all the stuff that I need to know where it is. Headphones, charger, sunglasses, remotes for stuff that only I use.   Works pretty well.

Have you not got a man drawer? What is wrong with people?

Why anyone would expect a small full back to be able to fend off a centre forward meeting a header in the full, thatís beyond me.

It was a very good cross to a very good header of the ball. Not poor defending.

He never even tried, he ducked and gave your man a wee platform to hold his jump on, which was nice of him.

Probably didn't want to wreck his hair, looks lovely (says bald man) in fairness

My club not happy with this at all. We have at least 6 players now have to get off work. Why not just move the games to Sunday?

Has your club spoken with the opposition to see about a mutual agreeable time?

If they are reading you are struggling they'll hardly want to move it ;)

I don't think it is second teams. I think Kelly would be on Ballycastle's first team and a those Cushendall ones would be on Cushendall senior team. I suspect Laverty is on Loughgiel's too. She was saying she was on the senior panel but dropped off it last year.

I think it's just those that don't make the squad.

Also they seem to tend to be younger as I think the plan is to bring them on to the intermediate.

So like club, teams are graded and the seniors must grade a squad and any that are not on that senior team are available for the seconds? Huge boost to the the camogs and hopefully inspiring new ones to take it up..

Our club have started with a Camogie team lately and its getting good numbers its seems so hopefully we can keep it going, all 4 areas covered plus handball also, we might not be winning much but providing a great sporting cultural environment

Was that Antrimís 2nd team in the camogie final today? Have they another team in the intermediate comp?

Second team first won intermediate last year retained senior again this year

So are those selected simply those who don't make the Intermediate squad or are they from Junior clubs?

Not sure as there are ballycastle and Cushendall and Ahohill players I'm sure there are Loughgiel too, its probably players that will be on their clubs second teams I'd assume..

Cork had a team in the intermediate and senior finals yesterday, so not uncommon

Afraid to ask how much, said I'd pay for their phones until college is over, so have 3 more years of that ffs!

I've 3 years to dig in and then I'm free from those regular payments (not just phones) for the 'kids'

Need to sit down and look at finances and see how best to save going forward..

Going to use the fire more often, going to get the windows serviced, get boiler serviced also, will be just us two in the house so food bill will be lighter, wine bill higher though  ;D

If you really went through things you could probably save a fortune without becoming a hermit

Honestly I'm astounded at the croppies on here, and a lot of lads who spend their time slagging off SDLP. Gobsmacked

Please just admit that's why you have this post?  You get annoyed because people give off about SDLP taking seats in London? They aint the same and not even close...

Deal with each issues for what it is, there is no crossover.. Sports people don't give a flying f**k, they are only there for the sport, that may be difficult for you to understand but it is...

Photo's of flegs must really get on peoples tits

It's absolutely 2 cheeks of the same arse, it's the most un Irish thing you can do, head off to a games celebrating servitude and slavery under the banner of the crown . There are loads of other competitions, this one is poor standard anyhow . As you said maybe a chance for people that aren't up to world standard to wrap a flag around them

As I said before you'll never understand the effort that these athletes go to, and for you to be all political about it is a bit childish

Again you seem hung up on flegs and politics and bringing sport into it to suit your argument or position.

Sport is sport, this championship is a big deal in the sporting calendar ... You said there are loads of competitions? Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth... There are various competitions but they don't have the collective atmosphere of a 'Games'

There is no championships that are held really on a personal level, its about representation, the same competitors in gymnastics will be representing Ireland in November at the World championships

Horrible scenes. Had there been tension in the area recently? It's like they need to generate these flare ups to justify their aggression

My daughter was in Tel Aviv that night, they had been on a cruise around Croatia and the Greek islands, the cruise finished at Haifa port, most passengers headed to the airport but my daughter and her boyfriend had a cheaper flight out to Milan the next day, well they are lucky it got off the ground as the air raid sounds were going off that night and when they got to the airport that next day their flight was delayed and then eventually the plane had to be rerouted on a different flight path for security purposes..
