Just a question as to what happens when a county exits the championship.
Is there any post mortem?
Obviously all players go back to their clubs, but do they continue to train together even fortnightly?
Do the senior management start immediately to plan for next year?
Do they start a new player search?
Do players get together again in November?
The first thing they do is go on a massive bender. Everything else including work plays second fiddle to the bender.

Well deserved for lads to blow off steam and relax. Players will be back with the clubs for the last number of league games in Armagh and then club championship starts mid to late August as far as I know.
Phones calls start coming in from US clubs, I think

Half of Down is away out as far as I know. Good few Tyrone lads too.

There are different models
Down will sack the manager and continue to decline
Tyrone will insist they prepared as well as last year
Meath say the sorrowful mysteries
Cork hurlers don't learn anything
do the us government give them some sort of working visa
I see that "Bonner Ó Loingsigh" chap was refused entry to the US because he was born in Iraq. He's an Irish citizen with an Irish passport. He was going to some GAA related event.
I wonder how many black skinned Irish born people will be refused in the coming years?

There were rumours that a few Armagh players were offered big dough, be interesting to see if there was any substance to them

Haven't heard of any myself but the obvious one who'd get a blank cheque in the USA will stay at home I reckon. He'll be 100% focused on regaining a county title this year.

No. Its a sticky situation that is becoming more and more difficult as immigration seem to have copped on what's going on.
This year I've heard of ones being told not to pack boots and to clear any mention of playing football in their WhatsApp.
There are alot from Tyrone away. One club in particular has lost 4 to the states.

Was thinking more of some of the players from neighbouring clubs, Cross will walk the SFC this year.

I think I read that Peadar Mogan and Jamie Brennan from the Donegal panel were headed for Philadelphia this week.

He is one I am waiting to see what will happen with
If anyone has read the 'Boys of 93' book Eamonn Coleman went on a holiday to Chicago and then got sacked on the phone.
Then a phone call from America said send the lad over & the auld fella said sure it wouldn't do any harm.

Why is no one ringing me? @america
Not sure if this answers the question. But have heard a few things from some in the know on how this is done, and like anything, it varies from what the top successful counties do, to what the others do (although I'm sure there's a lot of nuance in that, just generally speaking). The top counties absolutely analyse what happened, what went wrong, what went right, what they need to work on, and generally give a plan for what to work on through the down time until players come back for whenever pre-season training starts. The lower ones don't seem to. The players break up pretty much immediately after they lose their last match (bar some pints), go back to clubs, go on holidays, and generally take time off. When back to pre-season, they're already far behind the other counties before they even set foot on the pitch for the first time that season. The top county players have been working away, getting data from S&C and on what to do, and it does not take them long to get up to speed when back with the rest of the squad. Seems to be what is happening. Some are closing the gap this way (your counties outside of those challenging for titles every year), both otherwise it seems the gap widens from top to bottom this way.
When mayo lost to newbridge or no where a few of them like Diarmaid o connor and conor loftus were in Chicago before midnight as i think it was the last day for registrations.
where IiFRC they played second fiddle to brian Reape , where did he go?
