What was Pickford at anyway?

Did he lose track of where he was?

Or was he (stupidly) gambling on the ball reaching Gapko?

Look-Up!

Completely gambling on the ball going to Gakpo. Really bad read of it but if it had gone to Gakpo and he saved it he would be lauded as brilliant so it was a gamble worth risking.

Everton will survive this season. Dyche is the sort of manager who will make them really hard to beat against the teams around them and they’ll score enough goals from set plays to win those games.

The next 3/4 games determines where they end up. Lose to Leeds and they are starting to drift away from the pack. Win and it’s all on again

Fortunately for Dyche he has plenty of time and only needs 18-20 points to more or less guarantee survival.

That’s achievable for him once he gets that squad organized.

Seamy scores a wonder goal to keep Dyches 100% home record on track.

Problem is when your only scoring threat comes for set pieces and worldies like that is that without a functioning striker you're going to get caught out.

The bottom 3 is very fluid

Everton are on 21 points after 23 matches. Say they need 39 points. That's 6 wins or 5 wins and 3 draws from 15 games.
It's really about the defence. It doesn't matter how the goals go  in.
Everton need LWLWL or LWDDD as a minimum.

Most bottom teams get LLWLL
In the last 5 matches of last season the bottom 6 teams won 4 out of 20.

Grim

Lack of a number 9 is going to relegate them. Zero threat up front

once they go 1-0 down you know it's game over, zero attacking threat from open play, a set piece is the only threat. Calvert lewin needs to get fit and in form asap to have any chance of staying up.

DCL needs to get fit and start scoring goals or Everton are going down..

Hate to be proved right, but barring Bournemouth all the others in and around relegation have shown signs of something about them. Dyche needs to work a miracle.

DCL is a write off. His contract shouldn't be renewed or he should be on a pay for play contract. He can barely string two games together.
