Quote from: imtommygunn on March 11, 2025, 10:19:08 AMI doubt there'd be much overlap. I was also a bit disappointed in the crowd although tbf I couldn't actually make it myself so can say nothing. There was a good crowd at waterford but even the stand was half empty for the Laois match.Westmeath wasn't that busy either.

Loads of arguments around these crowds at the national league games. Compared even to say the last few years in casement.

Thing is that Antrim no longer will have any say in Casement, Ulster Council ensured that. So even getting to play their home games there in the League and Championship will be an ask.

Did the Ulster council buy Casement of Antrim, or what way was the stadium to fall under Ulster control, not Antrims. Doesn't work that way at Clones?

Antrim signed it over FOC.

A lot later than you would imagine. Indeed, so recently that you would wonder why, knowing what they knew at that stage.

How exactly did that work and get round the statute of frauds etc

I'm not sure but it could be (and I'm guessing) that it is not a normal change of ownership but a change of the people within the same association who hold it in trust.

Yeah I've no idea. I had just wondered how Antrim CB didn't benefit significantly from it.

Antrim CB have lodged an objection (to Croke Pak?) to the fixture being in Newry.

I assume because  that's not where Corrigan Park is located?

Don't know, only what I read in D'examiner.

I'd expect it would have to be on the grounds (sorry!) that the UC broke their own rules?
Just saying it's not fair will hardly cut any ice.

So Antrim signed over an entire pitch, ground, land in perfect housing zone for nothing? Who was running that deal, we take u resources, Donald Trump?
