Quote from: Mario on Today at 07:23:46 AMGreat to see another Ulster team in the final but after the past few years it's hard not to be jealous that we weren't the team that made it. I'm sure the players are thinking the same. Hopefully we can get the manager situation sorted soon and use it as motivation to get back to where we were pre Donegal game.

If you look at our last two championship games v Kerry we were well in it for an hour and last year the better team by a distance. Armagh today were probably second best until 45 min when the goal sparked them into life but what sets them apart from us at the minute is definitely their squad depth. Bringing on the likes of Soupy, McQullian, Jarly og, Duffy etc. We can't do that. We did work on it this year before being decimated by injuries but needs to again be a priority for the new manager in the league this year.

Other thoughts are that the greatest minor set up of recent times is probably Kerry and their 5 in a row 2014 to 2018 I think. They've maybe got 5 or 6 players from a 100 minor all Ireland winners. A lot probably thought they would dominate senior around this time but they seem to be getting worse and they don't have a great squad either. Underage success is no guarantee of senior success though it definitely helps and id be happy to take the 1 senior AI that group has won for our recent successful minor teams!

Are them minors there or is  that Jack O'Connor is not bringing them in?

Has that Kerry team been revamped this past few years or is it basically the same panel of players?

Well done Ard Mhacha and Mc Geeney.  A great effort.  Well deserved, especially after half-time.

Kerry are seriously over-rated. O'Sullivan didn't take his goal chances in first half which would have killed the game. Paudie Clifford is their best player.

Campbell and Jarlath Óg were good. They brought a great energy and a few scores. There was only one winner in extra-time.  Armagh's fitness was very good. A few Kerry lads were cramping up very early.

I hope Armagh wear the black shirts in the final.  Good to see Mc Keever getting a run at it.

Happy for Mc Geeney. He's stuck at it and deserves a bit of luck. There'll be a good buzz about Armagh over the next two weeks.

Impossible to see unless they have a timeout and check the screen.

But not going to happen.

Down's keeper wouldn't inspire you with much confidence.

Down well in control but poor shot selection/finishing letting them down.

Should be up by at least 6pts.

How many more years have Errigal, as sponsors, left on their contract?

Armagh supporters should outnumber the opposition by 5 to 1 in reality.

Especially for a semi-final.

It's only 1 - 2 hours down the road.  Bus, car and train networks really good also.

I'd say Mc Grath will get the Waterford gig.

Aussie will come back in this year after taking a year out. Plus a core of key players are still there - De Burca, Barron and the Bennetts etc.

Unbelievable, ref gave them everything
Every decision in the last 30 mins went to the tans including not giving Holland an obvious corner just before they scored

Van Dijk/Stones? Didn't think it was obvious at all and didn't see a replay that proved it one way or the other

It was obvious without the replay ffs.

I don't know.

I think Southgate made the changes to try and win it.

Surely Watkins must start over Kane in the final?

Quote from: paddyjohn on July 10, 2024, 07:53:30 PMPaddy Bradley, McFlynn & Muldoon.

Not Bradley or Mc Flynn.  Not sure what they're done. Definately not inter-county material. Is Bradley on the circuit?

Seems, when talking of inter-county managers nowadays, then it has to be a serious high quality manager.  Look at the two mentioned - RG and MOR.  These two are not your standard club managers.

Years ago, 5 or 6 names would be mentioned but these days, as a top 6 team, the bar is set very high.

I wonder has player power played a big hand in Harte's decision?

Panels seem to have a big input into who manages/who doesn't mange them these days.

It's to inflict as much collective punishment on the Palestinian people as possible.

This is via destroying infrastructure i.e. schools and hospitals etc.

If you look at the pictures, Gaza has been bombed out of existence.

Clearly a case of genocide.

Only thing is that I don't think this 'artistic' effort will win any prizes at Sundance etc.!

Quote from: Rois on July 09, 2024, 09:21:21 AMWe booked back in Jan for 4 wks all through July in Dublin long stay blue and it was €300.

That's expensive but hard to do anything else. Taxi drop off and lift would be similar I'm sure, depening on where you live.

Pity you didn't leave it at a friend's house in Dublin or surrounding areas and get bus in.
