Would it be worth rotating Dublin through the other provinces every year? Give the Leinster teams a chance and give Kerry a kick in the hole every few years?

"Hurling referees have been advised to be mindful of players ducking into tackles in an attempt to win frees. Examples of recent league games were provided to officials of decisions going in favour of those who were simulating the fouls.

Across both codes, referees have been given the following checklist to factor in when considering to send off a player for a head-high tackle: if a contact is made to opponent's head, if the opponent has no opportunity to protect himself, if contact/impact is excessive or causes injury, if the elbow/forearm/shoulder is part of the contact, if the player making contact jumps or has been two feet off the ground, if the player making contact had a realistic alternative by way of challenging opponent and to the direction and distance covered by the player who makes contact."

It's going like rugby that players must have a 'duty of care' to other players in the tackle.

That's a good thing in my opinion. Anything hit around the head is dangerous.

You'll be looking for mitigating circumstances etc etc as well now

Has anyone here had any personal experiences with trans people and has anyone, or someone they know, been personally affected by any of these issues being raised here?

There's a few in our office and I've worked with one almost every day for the last couple of years.
Never had an issue with them.

What about biological females in male prisons?
Biological females in male sports?
Biological females in male-only spaces?

Are those an issue?

If not, then one presumes that the wolf-in-sheep's-clothing-intent-on-creeping-or-rape is the real objection?

In which case, this issue has been around in terms of high prominence for coming up on a decade now. What are the stats?

Are men dressed as women a significant proportion of the rapist population out there?

I've been at my current employer for six years. They've allowed gender ID-based bathroom use that entire time. Despite tens of thousands of people around daily, I've never heard of a single report.

Armagh age profile not against then if they don't get sthing in the next 2/3yrs. Some of there best players are over 30

Yeah 4 massive players in Grugan, Forker, Murnin and Soupy all over 30 but I'd say theres a few years left in them yet. Grugan be the hardest replaced of those I think.

Loughmacrory should be concerned. Missing their 3 U20s and Donaghy on the seniors but Omagh also down men shows the lack of depth Lough have in their squad. They have lost a few important players to emigration and their must be internal fear of a relegation battle. Be a lot of expectations on McElholm and McCullagh this year.

No more word on McElholm going to Australian Rules or is that out the window now? He was very impressive last week against Monaghan in the U20s.

He was very impressive indeed, but anyone could have been impressive that night against Monaghan B team.
Bigger tests to follow for the U20's but so far so good.
Another All Ireland for Paul Dook possibly

Some hanlin that would be. End up the main contender for the Senior manager and that would set Tyrone back to about 1998.

3 teams with home advantage again.

Worth asking how that came about.

Just luck of the draw... thats the format first drawn out at home.

From the first round there were 3 home wins and 5 away wins.

Good point! Home team gets the gate!

Is it really? Most counties have goals at the start of the year, get promoted, avoid relegation, beat neighbours etc. do they really need a coping mechanism of devaluing competitions, I seriously doubt it.  There are about 26 counties under the new system never going win Sam, Derry don't need another Ulster but will probably win it, any other county would relish it.

I believe JoG2 was referring the fans attempting to devalue a competition as a defense mechanism for if they don't win it. Armagh will have failed this year (again) if they do not win Ulster. How anyone can think different is beyond me.

Armagh will have failed agreed, Armagh will continue to fail until the County Board grows a set and get rid of McGeeney but they aren't devaluing it.  Who's these fans devaluing it two people on a discussion board, most counties would love to win Ulster, doubt Fermanagh, Antrim and Monaghan are sitting there thinking as sure it means nothing.
