It must have set a new record for the smallest support at any All Ireland Semi Final.
I suppose the 39,900 who didnt go will be the first to complain they can't get tickets next July or August for Dublin Senior games ::)

Just to set the Dublin lads minds at rest ...we have no chance in this one.
We have only one forward and he has to play midfield as we have no midfield.
So unless we can hold Dublin to 4 or 5 points I'm afraid the adventure ends in Breffni Park around ten to nine Saturday. :-\

Oh dear Oh dear ....I hate to say I saw it coming .. :'( :-[ :-\

, but Id much rather be a Sligoman than a Rossie at present ;D.

You have no ambition Sligonian . Imagine wanting to remain a Shliiigoite all your life   :'(

I'd say either U21 or NFL would put the Sligonians in raptures  :D

Is Cathal any relation to Donie?
What a stupid fcukin fixture as the GAA will lose € thousands all for the sake of a few Congress delegates. >:(
However we play where we play so let's all get behind Jimmy and the lads and see how she goes.

Some excellent posts here both from Ros and our neighbours but Rosmatt's probably the best.
Just for the record the Co Board was breaking down Fergal's door through August/Sept 2008 to get him to take the Senior job.
We can rake over the coals of Tobin/Naked Pool/Castlebar 01/Truck/Tan/Financials etc but where will it get us.?
Time to look forward....which means goodbye now to a lot of lads in mid 20s who just havent got it and use the 06 lads as a starting point for this year's Championship.
Add in those of the U21s who will be finished at that grade on hopefully 2nd May ( or 17th April  :() plus those 20yr olds who look like they could hold their own( Collins/Bannon/McDermott).
The future starts NOW !!! so let's get at it Rossies.

Maugh tan wasnt the manager when we played London in 2005.
Francie,Cake and company should have been spoken to by the new management in late 05  to see if they wanted to be part of the new "disciplined" regime and bring them on board to see how they'd have gone.
Then if they fecked about the management would have had the high moral ground when running them.
Instead they created division right away by not even telling them they were gone !!!
My worry about the present management is  the fact that Devaney,Gleeson and Shaq were unable to commit while Cox left the panel very quick when he  had an injury.
Sounds awful like bucks with no confidence in the management.
However the difference between Fergie and the likes of Tan and Tommy Truck is that FO'D is not a paid mercenary.

...

10 years + of rubbish underage teams leaves Roscommon with what they have now. No players of a particularly high standard over 21 or 22 years old.
Then after the 2006 minor win they threw O'Donnell into the line of fire when a stint with the 21s would have surely been a better option.

100% right and my sentiments exactly.
I think Fergie needs to go for broke at this stage and basically ask himself who if anyone over 22 should remain for the championship.
I can only think of 4.
Then go with his own lads from 2006.
