There was a segment on CBS world news ( not exactly a trump love fest), but they interviewed a poor woman from along the border, who was thinking of crossing  the border with her grandson , but now was afraid to in case they would be separated.
Reporter asked her why she was going to US , she replied, " the Cartels have killed the rest of my family and she was afraid to stay. "  is that also Trump's fault ?
I also think it is terrible separating families, but if folks believe that all the blame lies with Trump, they are off their rocker.
The liberal media in the US are scrambling right now for anything negative.
The economy is booming, unemployment is at 3.8% , ie, full employment
the FBI nonsense is coming to a head , and they need something to distract the American people about feeling good about themselves.
There isn't full employment. the labor participation rate never recovered from 2008

Most of the new jobs don't pay much either.
If the economy was booming the Fed wouldn't be in charge

Do you live in the US,
If not how can you be an expert on what new jobs pay. What do you define as not much.

I do not agree with everything Trump is doing, but I can tell you that the US economy is booming, main reasons;
Individual tax cuts, corporate tax cuts and a whole lot less regulation, all of which are encouraging businesses especially small ones to expand.

Main reasons? It's all Trump and what he has done?

So how do you explain the GDP growth rates? Where are the Trump inflection points on these long terms trends?

Median wages is a good place to start.
Look at where the new jobs are. Retail, healthcare, restaurants. Very few well paying industrial jobs.
Look at how well retail is doing.

For the 40% of Americans at the bottom of the pile gas price rises have wiped out the positive effect of the tax cuts.

That's nothing to how the economy will boom when the wars start. And that's not even the trade wars I'm talking about.

Apologies, I've been on the road since 4:30 am and in back to back meetings all mornings.

It's very easy....if I hear something on CNN (or Patriot or Urban or MSNBC) while I'm driving in the car and I want to get the differing viewpoint I will then google the topic and WSJ/NY Times/The Hill/The Atlantic/Forbes/Bloomberg/WAPO etc.  Then I typically read about 4 articles-2 from each side of the argument and if I have the time I'll read the comments.

Oh....I also read books. So far this year I've read Bernies book, George H Bush's book of all his correspondence, Gamechange about Obamas election, Jimmy Carters autobiography

What I do find hilarious about all this is how all US media keeps saying that "this is not what America stands for". The constant need for Americans to proclaim themselves as a great country unique in its virtue.

It's the opposite. It's a country that was built on genocide, slavery, racism, bigotry and colonialism. It was built on an absolutely rotten past and has a rotten present. And yet it still keeps trying to fool itself that it wasn't and isn't.

The US should take a look at Germany, and learn to confront its past and admit to itself that the notion of "American exceptionalism", "unique American virtue", that it is a "shining city on the hill" is so much utter nonsense. It's national self-delusion on a grand scale.
have u ever been to the us ?

The Red Cross says it's being denied access to federal detention centers where children separated from parents are being held. When other countries deny relief orgs access to detention centers, the United States used to employ every means available to change that policy. US Border Patrol video shows immigrant children locked in cages at Texas holding facility

ABC NEWS

The lawsuit details how one child was prescribed 10 different medications, including the antipsychotic drugs Latuda, Geodon and Olanzapine, the Parkinson's medication Benztropine, the seizure medications Clonazepam and Divalproex, the nerve pain medication and antidepressant Duloxetine, and the cognition enhancer Guanfacine.

"It is a surprising, perhaps even shocking finding and suggests that at least at this facility, at least insofar as the records which I reviewed, treatment is not complying with the ordinary guidelines," Dr Mills said.

"Medications like Olanzapine are appropriate for people who are psychotic, but they are not appropriate generally for treating agitation or misbehaviour."

Dr Mills said consent is usually required from parents or guardians before drugs are administered to children.

"There is no evidence that any kind of effort was made to obtain that consent," he said.

So the ABC article you quote is in reference to a 2008 lawsuit......8 years before Trump won the election and 10 years before the new policy was implemented.

The new lawsuit was filed within days of the new policy being implemented back in April, and from what I can read there was no actual evidence that it WAS happening, apart from the fact that it HAD happened under Obama (and probably Bush too)

And the Red Cross tweet states they CANT access the facilities, yet they have a picture of a facility......wonder if they borrowed that from (fake news) Time Magazine????

Its bad enough what Trump is doing, but the left isnt satisfied with that......they need to lump Obamas misdeeds on top for good measure.....http://dailycaller.com/2018/06/21/associated-press-child-abuse-obama-admin/
