From the Bunker

You'd expect the Kerry Intermediate and Junior Champions to sail through the Munster Championship.

Quote from: Blowitupref on November 19, 2023, 03:55:21 PMA surprise result in the Kerry intermediate final.

Fossa 0-18 Milltown-Castlemaine: 2-13

Fossa a small Kerry club, have a great player and a once in a lifetime player - both brothers. Outside of that there would be nothing more to say this was a surprise result.

Milltown/Castlemaine won their 5th Intermediate title today. Fossa have never won the Intermediate. Fossa have only won one Junior premier - title 2022.

All decent points but it was still a surprise result. Fossa weren't only favourites with the bookies to win yesterday but also favourites to win the Intermediate All Ireland.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Any Kerry team will be favourites given their structure. Looking forward to seeing how Cullyhanna go.

Listowel beat Killimer in Munster junior championship 5-17 to 2-2. Kerry teams should just get a bye into intermediate and junior Munster finals at this stage.

John Evans still going strong he's in charge of the Cork outfit.

Other semi final result Roanmore (Waterford) 0-2 Mungret St. Pauls (Limerick) 1-9

Senior Munster results.

Castlehaven (Cork) 1-16  Rathgormack (Waterford) 1-7
Dingle (Kerry): 0-13 Clonmel Commercials (Tipperary): 0-10

No doubt the Ulster Intermediate Champions will stroll to AI victory now that the unfair Kerry Champions are gone ;D

Couldn't understand why Kerry had a 2 week break after their county senior final while they only gave their Intermediate Champions a week to prepare for their provincial campaign and that is a massive factor in the result today. Also I'm pretty sure Cill Na Martra are a decent Division 1 side so they were no mugs.

Killmurry playing again in Munster Junior 2 years in a row is a joke like Glenullin in Ulster Intermediate. They ran Fossa close for about 40-45 mins in last years Munster Junior Final.

Just checked and yes Cill Ma Martra finished 5th in the Cork 1st Division this year so it seems Cork are copying their neighbours in pulling a fly one.

Wouldn't judge teams too strongly on league form with a lot of players missing for one reason or another.

Cork senior championship contain 12 teams. So not the same as Kerry and hasn't has Cill Ma Martra been playing at the intermediate grade in Cork since 2004?

Massive win for Castlehaven today in Limerick. Dingle possibly should have won it in both normal and extra time but The Haven ground it out. They had a bit more nous and hardened experience on Dingle I think.

On paper you would think St Brigids should win that semi final but Castlehaven will give them a good battle I predict.

Cill na Martra as expected won the intermediate easily.

Kilmurry were appalling in Junior final unfortunately and were too negative. They're capable of much better but on the day it was poor fare.
