It all psychological.

In soccer it is suicidal unless you are going for broke with minutes to go.

In Gaelic it's a case of last man back - You can use your hands.

The Goalkeeper needs - to be a Baller, to be used to playing outfield, to be smart.

I can't believe this has not happened before now. I suppose the Blanket defence made it less of a risk.

Think its a good tactic if the right guy is on the ball. 

Rory Began, Niall Morgan and Ethan Rafferty all implement it well and tend to make the correct decisions when on the ball. 

Offside and outfield soccer players not being able to handle the ball would make it a f#ckup

It is all contingent on the accuracy of the opposing team and the likelihood of a turnover. The 2022 semi final was a good example.

It's medium-risk. Until opposition teams are prepared to leave a forward up at all times, it makes sense to have the keeper more involved.
