Will be appealed and reduced further up the chain. If it is then its really a farce

How do you appeal that? Surely the club will stay out of it. Does anyone know how the club dealt with the incident originally?

I would usually park around the home farm area heading down from the north - do you think that would work on Friday evening this week?
Parked there for the Derry game, bit of a walk but I'm thinking similar for the gig on the 17th. I've got all day to get down early

Ended up in Home Farm FC grounds - charged €10 but it was handy got out of and the clampers were out in the area so worked ok.

What time where you parked at?

We landed around 5 or 5.30. Couple of pints in the Skylon and then dandered down. Had plenty of time.

Puma kings haven't been great for a while now, last pair I had (and I would of always wore them) fell apart. One of my lads has a wide foot and puma suits him but I got Puma Ones well reduced. He likes them, no laces and all that. Other lad wears predators but that's going to have to change now he's into adult sizes. Mad prices for the decent ones.

I got 2 seasons out of a pair of asics and have diadoras now for kicking about with the lads. Very comfortable boot and well made.

My lad has a pair of Puma Kings but got badly studded on his upper and its sore for days after a match. He reckons he needs a pair with better padding on the tongue/upper. Any recommendations?

My last pair of boots were Asics Lethal Testimonals, kangaroo leather upper. I loved them but some people thought they were heavy. Stud to the top of the foot will be sore no matter what he wears though.

Boots seem to have gotten much thinner these days (and the prices are scandalous) Firstly, boycott Puma, and maybe buy a neoprene ankle strapping for a bit extra protection?

Boycott them because they are German?

this must be the reason:

https://bdsmovement.net/boycott-puma

Overview. Global sportswear manufacturer Puma is involved in violations of international law and human rights. Puma is the main sponsor of the Israel Football Association (IFA), which includes teams in Israel's illegal settlements on occupied Palestinian land.

German company linked to Israel sponsorship and him being a member of the Nazi party ..

Was he not the brother of the Adidas founder - was he a Nazi too?

Not one comment on the above? Seems its just one of those things people accept nowadays....

Horrible

And the brother arrested for it - absolutely horrific

The game was about 2 minutes into the second half, when the incident happened.

That makes more sense - people were saying it was from the throw in, but it looked like a hop ball. Still doesn't really help your man though

There's still a way to go be a good side but the improvement you want is there especially at the back. Varane staying fit is very important to how things will go this season. The back 4 look very solid, you don't get heartburn nearly as much watching anymore. Some improvement needed in the middle; you'd hope Casemiro will help there - he had some good touches when he come on. I thought Eriksen was good last night and McTominay to be fair to him. Up front is still a worry, Antony will help but they're still short up there. Sancho has shown flashes but nothing consistent yet.

The only way it stops is the club gets an on-field punishment, whether it be close the pitch or suspend teams. It's crap for the people that work hard but the club let him be in that position. If he gets suspended, he'll be shouting over the wire in a couple of weeks. Some club will have to be made an example of to get through to people.

To lose the head after 30 seconds is a serious problem. How do you get wound up that quickly?

Are the episodes coming out weekly? I have never seen GoT so I'm working on the assumption that if I start with the new series it'll be a lead-in to GoT or is the plan that this is a spin-off rather than a prequel similar to Saul and Breaking Bad?

I'd watch Game of Thrones First. Many of the surprises are from the past.

Loved GOT but I don't have Sky Atlantic, migrated to the dodgy box - can you stream it anywhere?

I was able to get it on IPTV - subtitles were in French though. Going to have to learn Valrian

Warrenpoint should definitely be not playing c football at underage. Entering teams in a 13 a side competition. Shouldn't be allowed for div 1 clubs.

I'd agree with that in principle but what do they do if they don't have the players to compete at the top level. You can't expect them to get hammered every week either. They shouldn't be in C competitions but maybe that was a one off.

Loughinsinisland were poor but to be honest, the Town showed a fight and their aim now is to stay in the senior championship and regroup for the next season. Castlewellan is a strong club who needs to be producing players for our county like before, they need more male footballers involved in coaching as hurling has taken over. It's good to see the minors in a championship final albeit at B level but it's a start.

Castlewellan getting strong at underage hurling, good to see for East Down, South Down, the whole of Down.

Yes it is great to see and fair play to the coaches who are pushing it on but the football has taken a hit and the Town who used to be the kingpins at underage in East Down and county finals are now used to playing in B championships

The hurling has improved in the last 3 or 4 years - when's the last time Castlewellan were on top juvenile football in East Down - the early 90s?? How come in Down if hurling does well that's the reason football isn't going well? When Liatroim had a strong group of minors they did well at both. Slaughtneil prove this argument wrong year after year.

Alot of East Down underage titles at the turn of the century and won a minor championship in 2006.
Some would say Liatrioms biggest problem is the dual success with both codes in intermediate with a very talented group of players. It's bound to be very hard to play hurling on a Monday and a football game on Friday. Even for team preparations its bound to be a nightmare, fire in a soccer game on a Saturday in the Bobby Dazzell cup for some players and you can see where problems arise

So a minor 16 years ago. How does hurling effect that in the last 4 or 5 years - we're talking about U13/U15s too not minors yet. They look like they could have a good chance at a junior title this year but in the 90s they were an intermediate hurling team and had a few dual players when winning senior football titles. It's definitely harder to play a 2nd sport now but blaming hurling on any clubs downfall is crap. A lot of the big clubs in the 90s & 2000s at underage aren't as strong as they once were - most don't play hurling.
