Would be good to see some GAA figues and perhaps even the association itself come out and condemn this as a show of solidarity. Will be interesting if RTE or Irish Times cover this, they usually cover up any wrongdoing by the Orange vermin.
why not get rid of handicaps altogether?
it encourages people to not improve and doesn't reward players who practice and put in the time and effort to try and win prizes
or should everyone get a prize
Fair point. Golf is like sex. No matter how bad you are at it, you still enjoy it.
I’ve hated golf this season as I’m playing shite. Haven’t played in near 3 weeks now. Will head back out at the weekend for more torture though. Also, I’d be raging if a 39 handicap won a comp never mind an important one. He’s bound to have been embarrassed winning with that many shots.
Rory goosed!
Not quite yet, course playing tough and reckon 5 under will be right in mix tomorrow. Plenty of opportunities on back nine and lots of shots being dropped by everyone, but he needs to start making a few putts.
Do you work for Sky ?
Rory goosed!
The song Football’s Coming Home is apparently offensive now and the FA are looking to cancel it 😂
What? Why?
The woke brigade say its offensive to other countries.
Does anyone think there is a lot of repetitive stuff from father Ted?
The entry point to VR too expensive and the headsets too cumbersome. Once the hardware catches up it will become mainstream.
It really won’t.
Why Google Glass didn’t take off is straightforward. Two simple reasons:
1. apart from a small group of fashionistas, nobody in history has chosen to wear spectacles when they didn’t have to. The concept behind Glass confused something that is an inconvenience as being convenient.
2. Glass required you to redirect one of your primary senses away from doing something useful, towards doing something that was usually trivial.
VR only works if it takes control of that same primary sense.
Most of us will always refuse to allow this to happen.
Learning moment for Shane the double on the par 3 is something to get over but the 2 horrible shots on the par 5 where he could have recovered cost him.
He’s playing so well hopefully he can keep the form going!
Again, you miss the point. It’s about body autonomy. You as a man can’t get an abortion, even if you wanted to. Yet the pro-lifers are telling women they shouldn’t have that choice.A lot of people see abortion as taking a human life. Rightly or wrongly, thats their view. So you may as well be saying “don’t like murder? Don’t kill anyone then.”Not really. The point being people most opposed to abortion are all men and are from or are supporters of male-dominated right-wing parties like Aontú, TUV, DUP etc.Any of the men on here had an abortion before? If you don’t like it so much, maybe.. don’t have one?Not something that I really care about one way or the other or that I’ve ever given much thought to but that’s a ridiculous take
Anyway, completely off track and irrelevant to this thread.
Which body are we talking about? The mothers or the baby's? Because by every scientific definition the baby is a human. You may call it "tissue" or whatever but you cannot deny it is human.
I don't care if a woman wants to do something with her body, so long as it doesn't harm anyone else its none of anybodys business.
I do have an issue when you end the life of another person though. I can understand there are a tiny minority of cases where this is unavoidable when something goes wrong, but the vast vast vasssst majority of abortions involve healthy mother/healthy baby so I think any attempt to use these extreme cases to justify widespread abortions is disingenuous.
Also don't have much time for the argument that men have no opinion by virtue of the fact that they are men. Does the message need to come from a pro-life female for it to be a valid point of view? What difference does it make who says it?
Is there a automatic 10% add on these day? 15euroveach for tea and scone is a god damn disgrace.I would say the 10% automatic add-on is very unusual for a hotel.
However, not overly surprised by the price for the scone and a cuppa. This is a 5 star hotel, you're paying for the ambience, location, decor, etc, etc. And probably to brag to your pals "Oh I had afternoon tea in the new Cashel Palace...". I'm sure it's not much more expensive, if at all, than Adare Manor, Westbury, etc. Plus you would receive a menu with prices before you order. So my conclusion is that the person who chose to go there, chose to order, and afterwards chose to complain on social media, is a knob.
