It's a buckin chip shop.

I think GAA journalists are struggling a bit for content at the minute.

It's the burger meat. Heard it once at the start of the summer, then again this morning. Yanks call it that. Maybe it'll pass.

But I also shudder when I hear:

roasties (It's roasted potatoes)
toasties (It's toasted sandwiches)
chippy/chipper (It's a chip shop)
peno. (It's a penalty ffs)

So it's probably me who has the problem.

I see patties are starting to replace burgers over this side of the water. Was only a matter of time.

That's right, and there was a Joe Ireland who was decent on the Kilkeel side.

Lynch and Clarke stood out. Yer lad Doyle too from Down a few years before that.

I liked that Down minor side from 05. Colgan, Fitzpatrick, Clarke and McComiskey.

Didn't think Arsenal played that well. They're still a long way off being a good side.

They've a decent run of games here and should be looking at 15 points from 15 if they're to be taken seriously.

Some gold haul from the boxers. They're doing something right. Pity Gallagher didn't get the chance to show his talent.

Spurs do look a tight outfit this year. Could put up big scores.

Keane and Neville looked bored of talking about Utd. Keane just looks bored of the whole pundit thing. Good easy money but wouldn't be surprised if he heads back into management.

Hard to see many of those players starting in 2 years time, if yer man is given the money.

Watched the first one.

What strikes you is how young and relatively inexperienced most are, including Arteta himself. And there's something nice about that when viewing it like this.

Do you remember the cop who kept giving daily updates?

Was he lying through his teeth, or didn't have a clue?

Clifford by far the best minor I've seen. Coney was dominant too. There was a lad Peter Sullivan or OSullivan for Meath in 92 I think who really stood out.

Bolted up and ready.
