Lets bring the Tayto-power to the Ernemen.

I imagine we'll have the same team that started against Armagh.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Must win game for Fermanagh if we are to stay in the division.
We have 4 home games and we must win 3 of them to stay up.
Last time Fermanagh were beaten at home was by Antrim in the Ulster Championship in 2014.
Unbeaten at home for well over a year in McKenna Cup, League, Ulster Championship and Qualifiers.
Brewster has become a bit of a fortress for Fermanagh over the past year and a half.
We have to win this because it will bring Meath back into the mix as well.
With Armagh playing Laois Saturday night as well, it's a massive game.

Played well against Derry the last day in the first half but faded badly in the second.
Should have been further in front and conceded a very poor goal in the first half when we got turned over in our attack from a very scorable position.
The goals in the second half were very poor and were the result of route one football which we defended very poorly as a team.  Wouldn't blame our full back line as such.  They were left too exposed.  Too many balls were kicked away and this gave Derry the platform to dominate.
That needs to improve.

Hopefully a few of our players who have been carrying injuries may be fit for this game which would be a big boost especially around the middle third where we struggled when Donnelly didn't win primary procession.

Can't see the same team starting for Fermanagh and I would expect McGrath will have Tracey back in goals.  They seem to rotate the keepers in the league.
Hopefully at least R Jones will come back into the team but we will be  missing the two McCusker's brothers.
Both will be missed as they get through a mountain of defensive and attacking work

Last played Meath in division 3 a few years ago in Navan  when we were unlucky not to pick up a win.
Not sure about the last time Meath were in Brewster.
Tempted to say it was in the Championship in 04.
Similar result on Sunday will do rightly.

Wanted.  Forwards to take frees.
Not fussy.  Any sort of ability will be considered

Two changes to the Meath team. Graham Reilly is fit to play and he starts while Seán Tobin comes in for Bryan McMahon. Darragh Smyth is the other player to be dropped to the bench. I counted eleven changes from the last Meath team to play Fermanagh in 2013 which is by all accounts a seriously high rate of player turnover. The confidence among the group is clearly quite high at the minute so we need to keep our good run of form going. On paper we should win, but in the past we've been poor away from home and like you said FermGael, it will be difficult for any team to travel to Brewster Park and come away with a victory.

Meath (FL v Fermanagh):

1. PaddyO'Rourke

2. Donal Keogan
3. Conor McGill
4. Mickey Burke

5. Brian Power
6. Padraic Harnan
7. Cathal Finn

8. Harry Rooney
9. Andrew Tormey

10. Graham Reilly
11. Cillian O'Sullivan
12. James McEntee

13. Sean Tobin
14. Mickey Newman
15. Donal Lenihan

Just as well we don't have too many lads with recent experience playing Fermanagh. We made the drive up there and to Clones in the championship only to come away with our tails between our legs. A bit of youthful optimism is no harm right now if they can keep in the habit of winning and working hard.

Agreed, and with a bit of luck, this young group of players can achieve big things. Injuries to Gillespie, Flanagan and O'Rourke have been well documented but we should move on without them (for now) and get behind what's there at the minute.

Fermanagh's starting team against Meath tomorrow in round 2 of the NFL div 2

1. Christopher Snow (Ederney)
2. Michael Jones (Derrygonnelly)
3. Che Cullen (Belnaleck)
4. Niall Cassidy (Roslea)
5. Patrick Rehill (Enniskillen)
6. James McMahon (Roslea)
7. Aidan Breen (Tempo)
8. Eoin Donnelly (Coa)
9. Damian Kelly (Tempo)
10. Barry Mulrone (Devenish)
11. Ciaran Flaherty (Belcoo)
12. Ryan Hanna (Coa)
13. Ruairi Corrigan (Kinawley)
14. Sean Quigley (Roslea)
15. Tomas Corrigan (Oliver Plunketts)

Fermanagh team has 2 debutdants
Paddy Rehill at whb and Ryan Hannah at whf.
Rehill has been playing well for the under 21s and Hannah played well in the Mckenna cup.
Midfield has a better balance to it as Damien Kelly will be more defensively minded.
Last week against Derry we had nobody minding the back door.
Good to see Niall Cassidy back as his organisation skills and experience were missed last week in the full back line.
We probably have a more defensive setup this week than last.

Juice FFS can you give us the names of the clubs. As Gaeilge. Ask mr Tayto to pony up if it costs anything.

The Pete McGrath factor might swing this one for Fermanagh. He has form when it comes to beating Meath.

I copied and pasted it from facebuke. I spent ten minutes deleting the clubs as gaelige for everyone's convenience.

Anyway fair play to Fermanagh. The place remains a poor hunting ground for Meath.

We made very hard work of that.
At one stage in the second half it looked like we were going to throw it away but 5 unanswered points steadied the ship and got us home with a bit to spare.

We were much better defensively and Meath found it really hard to break us down. Going forward we were ponderous at times but when we kept the ball, were patient and took the right decisions we took some nice scores.
Meath sending off in the first half was the turning point.
From my point of view it looked a very harsh black card and the fermanagh player ran into him as much as he ran into the Fermanagh player.
Referee was poor imo and some of his decisions were baffling.
The Meath midfield was very poor especially in the first half where Eoin Donnelly had a field day. Meath keeper was obsessed with kicking the ball to our best aerial player.

Fermanagh were far to deep in the second half with the man advantage and Meath took advantage going into a one point lead.
That seemed to spur Fermanagh on and from then to the finish we took control.

Good to get 2 points on the board and by all accounts we should have another 4 players back who started every championship game last year.

Away to Armagh next.
Another big game

Meath are like the flat chested teenage girl watching her friends moving on and start generating interest. It is going to be a tight division again this year.

All the ulster clashes are big games. Armagh have to win their next match. McGrath is a better tactician than McGeeney. It is not easy to generate confidence in a county like Fermanagh but a couple of good wins will help.
