Its not beyond Camross to pull out there football team, they dont put much effort into it up there. Like that its silly season now. Could be crap anyway.

Ballyboughal lost Leinster Intermediate final 2017 by two points. Mullinavat are there on merit and fair play to them. Best team won on the day. Im sure Rosenallis are happy with their year.

Proposed League schedule:

26 Jan v Roscommon (A);
1 Feb v Armagh (H);
9 Feb v Cavan (H);
23 Feb v Clare (A);
29 Feb v Kildare (H);
15 Mar v Westmeath (A);
22 Mar v Fermanagh (A).
Dont expect much from the hyde. Should hopefully get the points vs Armagh. Cavan will be tough but not impossible. Clare should be picking up something. Kildare will be a good judge of two new management teams, would like to think we have a good chance of getting points. Would not like to be needing points going into the last two games, All the same there at our standard. Will be an interesting league campaign.

the last two are good posts, agree with both. When John Sugrue meet with club officials last February only 5/6 clubs showed i think. That is nowhere near good enough, Also he suggested all clubs get in a room & have a structured discussion on improving Senior/Intermediate/Junior breakdown but this has not happened. I'm sure that has not helped John in making his decision. They're is a number of ways the county board need to direct football in our county to improve. 16 senior clubs down to 8 with two divisional teams would be ideal i think, Rob Tyrell, 2 Comerfords, Hitchcock are examples of lads who need to be playing in our Senior Championship, Junior will not improve these lads.

Im with high fielder on this. Need to hear from sugrue about his decision. If he says Family & Business to look after first that is grand. But very surprised with the whole situation.

I expect to see Evan play the majority of this game, Sugrue made 3 changes last week, wouldnt be surprised if begley plays aswell. I think we're in with a good shout here. Its being a good year so far, Super 8s & Leinster U20 final appearance would be great.

I think its a good draw too we have avoided a Division one team. Cork have had a good Munster Championship, They got relegated out of Division 2. On the match the weekend, serious concerns about our full back, Thought midfield was very good & up front i would like to see O'Carroll start next weekend. O'Loughlin, two Kingstons & Scully stood out for me.

im not sure area teams would work in laois. I think when it would come down to the crunch with the area teams, clubs would hold back players. The idea 3 clubs form into one would be a disaster for communities all over the county. The county board needs to reduce the number of senior to 10/12 imo, thus improving the standard of our intermediate & junior championships.

I know portlaoise beat kilmacud 14-8 in 2004. Not sure if was the last time, hopefully that's a good omen anyway.
Portlaoise roared into a 7 point lead in 2010 and solidly fucked it away, losing 2-4 to 2-7.

Granted there was other matters at play in 2010.
Portlaoise really should have at least one if not two more leinster titles if your going to be critical. The quality of players are there last year another prime example.
