From the RTE website;

Speaking in the Dáil after Mary Lou McDonald, Labour leader Ivana Bacik said some of the responses from Sinn Féin and its leader have been "frankly incredible".

Deputy Bacik accused the party of having "a lack of regard for victims, a culture of secrecy and cover-up within Sinn Féin,

Is Deputy Bacik only realising this now?

Quote from: Pub Bore on October 15, 2024, 04:38:33 PMI think Mary Lou could be in a bit of bother here...

I'm sure she has been on the phone to oul Gerry as past few days.

As someone who dodged a lot of bullets in his time, literally and metaphorically, he would be well placed to try and guide her through the current sh*t storm.

What is the draw for the Ulster Championship?

Are Kilcoo and the Derry Champions (Glen) on opposite sides?

He should count himself lucky.

If he had been put through a kanagroo court back in the day he could have ended up in a ditch.

Quote from: Slemishgael on October 12, 2024, 07:33:45 PMAll Saints win Antrim Intermediate Championship

Antrim Town win the Antrim Junior championship

Drumgath win Down Intermediate Championship

A lot of new houses being built around there in recent years, is the GAA club beginning to get any benefit from this?

Quote from: Red10 on October 12, 2024, 09:55:57 PMMarty Morrissey sounded totally fed up and you couldn't blame him. At least it didn't go to extra time. Might have been the first time RTE might have just said we'll just knock it on the head and not show extra time. How in good God can anyone think that stuff is good to watch or play in.

I read earlier in the week the County Board were getting £10k from RTE for this match, talk about wiping someone's eye.

Had a mate who worked in Hendersons a few years ago.

Probably does not apply to the Franchisees but re their own shops due to their 'beliefs' no lottery tickets for sale as it is gambling plus no alcohol for sale............mind you they open on a Sunday.

Was Omagh Orange Hall booked up?

Apparently years ago the Silver Birches was the place where the squaddies use to socialise as it was deemed a safe space......says it all.

Quote from: the goal was on on October 10, 2024, 10:36:14 AMMark Doran has the job by all accounts with Karl lacey and paddy bradley. Have to wait until club championship over before announcing.

No idea why Bradley is being mentioned in these conversations.

agreed

although Glenullin are limited in resources at the moment, their tactics lacked any imagination last weekend

Has he not won the last 2 IFCs in Derry with Glenullin? Did he also win an IFC with Newbridge? He's been managing at intermediate level for the last couple of years which complements Doran who's been managing at Senior. I've no idea if this rumour is correct but there's a logic there.

No doubt that will come in handy when Derry are playing the likes of Dublin / Kerry / Armagh / Galway.....

There is some serious vermin in our society, it is a pity that there is not a big hole to just throw them all into.  The world would be a better place without them:

Quote from: Rossfan on October 08, 2024, 01:38:54 PMAnd Hamas fired off some from Gaza last week.

45,000 dead and probably twice that maimed and still War criminal Netanyahu and his arms and money suppliers haven't "won" their "war".
Why are these cnuts allowed to invade and bomb, murder etc a Sovereign State and the World looks the other way?

It is very hard to fathom why. If you look in Lebanon they are doing the same too.

Something will eventually be a step too far but the question is what and when. It needs to be son.
Past that point already I'm afraid. That country is destroyed for generations. All the peace efforts of the 90s and since ruined by Netanyahu. You could call him an idiot but it was probably his design from day one.

He can call himself the proud architect of probably the greatest terrorist recruitment drive we've seen and that is saying something. All those orphans and kids who have seen everything and everyone they know blown to bits this last year. They will never forget and no prizes for guessing what a lot of them will be doing when they reach adulthood. Like I said peace process put back generations. Probably quickest solution now would be to wipe out every Palestinian so there is no one to avenge. I'm sure it's something he has thought of and wishes he could do.

The comparisons with the Nazis (ironically) is hard to avoid.  Hopefully Netanyahu and a few of his honchos will end up in a bunker some day like AH and do mankind a massive favour.

Not too familiar with Lurgan but is there a tendency for middle class people to align more with a specific club or clubs?

Would most people in Derry not think that the 'final' is actually next Sunday in Owenbeg?

The DUP keeping their powder dry at the moment on this one.

Something tells me when the JD trial starts they might not come out in a good light so probably thinking best not to throw stones within their current glass house.
