In 3 years working in and around Dublin Airport, the amount of taxis out there queueing up for fares today has to be seen to be believed. I asked a taxi driver where were all the extra cars from, he told me teachers and firemen were the majority as they were off today. He was like an anti-christ, he was in the queue for 3 hours at that stage and there was at least 100 cars in front of him. i wonder will the taxi unions have anything to say about this later. Talk about a PR disaster for the public unions. The government must be delighted at this, also, as someone mentioned earlier, the irony of public sector workers spending their money in the North. This is a great little country.

Not just the irony of bringing money across the border to line the pockets of other governments.

Its the irony of people complaining about low/improper wages but yet they have the money to fill the car with diesel cross the border and play a game of "how many bottles of spirits can you fit in a '05 passat?".

Agreed, OL hasnt exactly played that well for Ireland of late. Suprised to see Kidney go for Sexton. O'Gara whilst not as good as Sexton, he was certainly not bad against a tough Austrailia.

It says alot about Kidney though this selection. Not his percieved conservatism or his differences from EOS but rather what he thinks this match is worth. It will be interesting to see what we thinks a 6 nations game is worth come Spring.

Feck the safe bet give him a rattle we can't keep relying on ROG who quite frankly will not be the man to control this team through a World Cup! Sexton is the future and a start against South Africa will give us an idea if he can make the step up.

Well we bitxhed for 6 years about having no cover at ten and for the first year that we do we decide to despense of Rog. I dont completely disagree with what your saying but showing Rog the door now ends his international career and leaves us with no cover at ten again, bar humphries.

Also playing him against SA is based upon the hope sexton's able to make the step up, if he doesnt and we give his confidence a huge knock, who do we turn to then for the 6 nations, with two banjaxed out halfs? Just take it canny with the lad, autumn internationals are nice to win, but are glorified freindlies none the less.

There probably is merit in what he said about Saint Shay, it has been said before a weakness in Givens game is not commanding his area. I know he is beyond criticism but look at Lloris performance for France ( and I am not referring to his save from Duffs pathetic shot). Every cross came in he cleaned it out.

I have it on DVD as well as both Quarter finals v Dublin and Final v Kerry from 2005. Have 2008 games from quarter final onwards as well, but need to edit them. Haven't had the time to do it yet.

For some reason everyone thinks that match was one of the "best AI finals ever". The semi though was superior in almost every respect as a game of football.
