It has its uses and to be honest I found a new job after being 'headhunted' myself lol but the amount of disingenuous posts and people blowing smoke up each others arses is off the scale these days.  Your true friends aren't made on LinkedIn that's for sure.

I tell ya, there's a lot to be said for living a simple, stress free life.  I'm seeing more of this crap on LinkedIn too.

Going off the manifestation topic,  but I'm seeing corporate companies bring in your buck from Rory's Stories for talks - now that's just pure stupidity and a waste of money.

I think there is some merit in what they are saying and it's not all total BS, however; you'll find the majority of their material in any decent book.  I attended a course myself, however; it wasn't to do with manifestation or anything like that but was more about empowerment and self improvement in the work place etc - found it very helpful.  I've noticed there are more and more in GAA circles that seem to be preaching the whole mindfulness and gratitude thing too.

Plenty of work in the pipeline for Stadium builders....

Haven't been to the premium level in a few years but felt the corporate facilities and the idea behind what a good corporate day is, badly needs updated at HQ. Been lucky to get to a few corporate gigs over the past 24 months in England and Europe. The big carvery dinner is so outdated. You can get an all in food and drink deal in lots of places which is good value. Think they could do things better.

The premium experience definitely needs upgraded, not worth the money imo.  It's nowhere the level you'd see in other Sports Arenas in Europe and beyond.

it really is becoming a joke - is it a legal requirement to always go through insurance?

I've had a couple of really minor fender benders. Someone went into the back at me at traffic lights but there was actually no visible damage so I let it slide.

Another time a woman pulled out of a parking space beside me and scraped her car against the front of mine in the process. She didn't even notice it but luckily I was sat in the car and was able to get her attention. I was happy to settle it without informing insurance and got a quote she was happy with and we lived happily ever after...

If only everyone was as decent.  Bro n law had his car scraped by some woman as she reversed out of a parking space and he was stationery.  She accepted liability at the time and was agreed she'd sort.  Few weeks on and her insurer not accepting liability and bro n law being told that quickest way to settle would be for him to go through own insurer (£500 excess) and then pursue recovery thereafter.  You couldn't trust anyone these days.

I hate that instagram, social media sh*te...and parents are as bad as if not worse than some of the kids.
My wee lad got some of his modules today, he's just out of 4th year - he did just ok but he's had a bad year so we were happy enough that he passed. Kids opening results at the school with parents there videoing and asking everyone else what they got are usually the ones who know they are getting A's. One wee girl started crying as instead of getting straight A's she had a B in the middle.
I felt like saying shut the f*ck up.
No sensitivity at all to the kids who struggle or don't get straight A's. My lad took his home to open and there'll be not publicising results. I told him to tell anyone he asked that he got all A's and B's because generally the people who ask are the ones who did really well and just want to show off.

Really annoys me that crap.
+1

It's really insensitive

Here was me thinking doing those videos announcing a pregnancy to family/friends was cringeworthy enough....people have no shame.

The desperation to get likes and attention is off the scale.

Alot of Loss Assessors tend to start off in Insurance companies or Loss Adjusting firms and then go out on their own.  They can serve a purpose to a degree but there's plenty of them who are pure con men all the same...but sure if it gets you your claim paid then I imagine people wouldn't care less

They are handy but I think you could probably take a decent go at it yourself

I thought that. The thing is you don't know what you don't know. Ours was great. I'd say we got 3 times what we would have got if we went direct. He put in for everything and knew what to quote on things to ensure you got enough but didn't p!ss off the insurer. Money well spent.

Did they take a percentage of any cash settlement fee or did you pay them separately?

Let's be honest, there'll be a pile looking compensation that this leak wouldn't have affected anyway

The video was taken by somebody looking down onto a street from a flat or whatever.  Just shows a group of lads running along and then a couple appear to kick/throw a couple of punches...it's not very clear and poor quality.

Gauranteed that come the time of the concerts there'll be a pile of people selling unwanted tickets - it was the same for Garth Brooks.  Gone are the days that people are prepared to pay stupid money for these type of concerts.

There was some boos when Harman was teeing off at the 1st - bit pathetic

Good effort from Derry - they aren't far away.  Need to unearth a couple more forwards though because the likes of Toner and Loughlin aren't up the level required if you're looking to win All-Irelands imo.

That sort of money for a primarily Defensive Midfielder is desperate
