Lads there are 30 of us going to Newcastle on 23rd Feb for a stag weekend and Man U play Newcastle that day so i thought it would be a good idea to try and get to the game but after a few small enquires I'm finding it difficult to source tickets.

Could you please advise me on the best way possible to get tickets (Keegan taking over didn't help as the demand got worse) or If any of you have any contacts or someone in the know could you pass the info.

Many thanks

General discussion / New York
January 04, 2008, 10:47:14 AM
Lads i have 2 sisters going to New York next week for 5 days (with their partners/husbands before there are any smart remarks) and they asked me to see if any of you guys have info for them on where to go and where not to go. They intend going to Empire state building, statue of liberty, ground zero etc. But they havent a clue about restaurants and bars/clubs. Does anyone know any good ones for late 30's, good food, good music etc...They are also going to try to go to the Comedy Store/Comic Strip, has anyone been??
Any tips would be most welcome

Thanks

General discussion / Halifax Scam
January 03, 2008, 02:14:10 PM
Lads just be careful as there is an e-mail floating about from fraudsters will the Halifax logo and the works. I failed to log into my account properly yesterday and straight away i was sent an e-mail from the Halifax (well as i thought) asking me to update my security details as someone failed trying to log into my account. Naturally as it was me trying to log in i thought "f**k this is great the Halifax are really on the ball" so i updated my security details and hey what do you know my account was stripped this morning of £3500 (not euros).

f**king skint now and don't know where I'll get the money for next months mortgage. The Fraud deterant team are trying to trace it and get me my loot back but i haven't heard anything back as of yet :'( :'( :'( :'(

Be on your guard and don't be as stupid as me

General discussion / Info from my old PC
November 28, 2007, 11:16:58 AM
Lads can someone tell me what equipment i need to take data from my old PC (windows 98 2nd edition) and get it into my Laptop.

1. There is not a Re-writer drive on my old machine ( i tried dragging and dropping to a blank CD but it didn't work)
2. It will not accept my memory stick (i downloaded the drive for my memory stick of the internet and my PC will still not recognise it)
3. My Laptop does not have a Floppy drive so i can't transfer it that way either

Is there a way i can link my Laptop to my PC and transfer the data that way (some sort of cable). I have a load of personal photos of my daughter and family etc  and work related topics that i need.

This mornings Irish News covers the story we have been rambling on about for months. The BBC against the GAA, this story may cause a few ripples now it has reached one of the top newspapers. The story covers it because we pay a TV licence fee to the BBC but as we stated before UTV are every bit as guilty as the BBC. Bigoted B*****ds.

Lads my sister deals with all that shit and she can beat the banks and building societies most of the time on their rates, she can get you a cheaper rate with say the Halifax than you can get with the Halifax. So if there any of you out there at the minute who needs a quote PM me and i'll pass her details onto you (She comes to your home and gives you the quote there and then, even in the evenings if you work all day)

And please no smart remarks about sisters.  ;)

P.S i'm not sure if i'm allowed to do this on the Board but let me know and ill delete ASAP

GAA Discussion / Over Critical Club Supporters
June 14, 2007, 01:17:05 PM
I know majority of you on the board are supporters but what club out there holds the title for having the worst and over critical supporters. "waiting in the clubhouse for you after a defeat to tell you how crop the team are" when most of them never kicked a ball nor could they if they tried. When your playing you can hear them from the crowd "get that so and so of he's shite" and thats your team mate they are talking about or even yourself.

Somtimes you would love to jump the wire and batter the pricks >:(
