Anybody here anything about this competition this year? is it going ahead?

Invitations are out for the football but no word of the hurling. Frankie usually had it all organised by this time of year but he's gone now.

i'm sure it will get going but the timing needs changing. needs to be completed before the All County leagues start, great way for clubs to get up to speed before the Leagues get going. it can work. clubs dont want it during peak season. pitches are grand now, cold but better than Sunday training

NAG

why what hurling teams are training at the moment MR?

I don't know any yet but I'm sure the Johnnies are going mad at the training to be burnt out by June.

Do they still offer cash to the clubs that compete in this competition
What happens next????

NAG

I believe the winners are still waiting on said cash from two years ago never mind this year MAX!

maxpower

i heard the winners had never gotten the cash and thought they had scrapped the idea
What happens next????

NAG

Well I also heard that the winnners never have got any cash, but this didnt stop a cash prize being offered up as one of the incentives to participate. Bad form that they couldnt even pay the money out, do we know if the footballers recieved their Ulster Council Money?
