You know who I mean. Mr Greasy from Madeira. Bringing a great club down with his overratednes not greatness. They have 2 of the worlds 4 best players, Messi, Ronaldinho, being the best 2 Kaka and Ronaldo like to pretend that they are. Look at how good Man Utd were tonight with a proper footballer Rooney leading the way. Ronaldo held them back.

General discussion / Kerry Babies

What was this all about. I remember hearing about it as a youngster, but after reading about it there I mean, what a crock of shit. A baby murdered and the police and the judiciary and the state pathologist and the establishment not able to make head nor tale of it.

AIB had dropped more than 50% at one stage today. They were down to 1 euro from being 3.50 a few weeks ago. Back up to 1.55 at the moment. BOI took a big hit today as well, down 20% today as things stand.

I couldn't find one of the other appropriate banking threads so I started a new one.

General discussion / Logging in????
September 10, 2009, 12:36:20 AM
Why such drama? It can be a bit of a pain in the hole logging in on this website, it doesn't happen anywhere else. Why when you log in do you disappear out of the topic you were reading, out of general discussion and and have to go find the topic you were in and the post you want to reply to. Could this be fixed by the people who run the site?

The other thing is when it fails to log in and says try again in 2 seconds. The other thing I don't like is when it says another reply has been added while you were posting etc......I could care less to be honest. Does anyone else agree or disagree with these points.

General discussion / The knife has come to Ireland
August 17, 2009, 05:39:31 PM
After seeing on the news and reading about knife crimes in rban areas of the UK during the last 5 years there have been 2 stab killings over the last week one in mayo and another in Bray at the weekend    I suppose this was inevitable that this might creep into our culture as we copy everything else from Britain. In the past these problems might have been settled with fisticuffs and or a severe beating but now the knife appears to be making more appearances and that means deaths will arise from what would previously have been less harmful situations.

General discussion / Mutu
August 01, 2009, 05:07:38 AM
Adrian Mutu the former Chelsea Player has been hit with a 17 million euro bill by the court of arbitraton for sport. If you remember he got a lengthy ban for taking cocaine so Chelsea fired him and then looked to get back the transfer fee they paid for him. In my opinion this is all wrong. Yes he took coaine but that is a recreational drug and not performance enhancing drug. It was the sports authorites that stopped him playing and made Chelsea make a loss. So I think the sports authorities are the ones that should foot the bill for Chelseas loss. The thing is Mutu had to appeal to the sports authorities and they were only ever going to rule against him and not against themselves. This thing really stinks.

Look at the way the Americans sort out corruption and criminality among their politicians, doctors and religious leaders. Then consider the tribunals and inquiries into child abuse we have had over here looking into the activities of our untouchables. It is great to see something like this happen. Rabbis in religious dress walked out int othe street like common cruminals, white collar middle aged women walking into polices stations in hand cuffs.

General discussion / Iran

Things are getting worse in Iran by the day. Could the old regime be coming to an end? What is shown below may hurry up its decline.

Below is a shocking clip of a young girl protester dying after being shot.

General discussion / Formula 1 to break up
June 19, 2009, 12:39:13 AM
From the BBC website

Formula One has been thrown into chaos with the news that the Formula One Teams Association (Fota) plan to set up a rival championship in 2010.

World motorsport boss Max Mosley had written to five of the potential breakaway teams in a bid to end the bitter row over budget cap proposals.

But the appeal of the FIA chief does not appear to have had any impact.

Following a four-hour meeting, Fota announced that it had grown frustrated with the stance of Mosley and the FIA.

"The teams cannot continue to compromise on the fundamental values of the sport and have declined to alter their original conditional entries to the 2010 World Championship," said a Fota statement.

"These teams therefore have no alternative other than to commence the preparation for a new championship which reflects the values of its participants and partners.

"This series will have transparent governance, one set of regulations, encourage more entrants and listen to the wishes of the fans, including offering lower prices for spectators worldwide, partners and other important stakeholders.

"The major drivers, stars, brands, sponsors, promoters and companies historically associated with the highest level of motorsport will all feature in this new series."

This is a bit of a mess, the head of formula 1 said to them if you don't like it go and set up your own competition. So they did, I think this breakaway group includes Ferarri the standard bearer for formula 1.

General discussion / MPs expenses
May 13, 2009, 02:35:36 AM
David Cameron accused the mps who have been exposed in recent days for claiming money that they were not entitled to were"abusing tax payers money". Maybe it is the way I was brought up but "abusing" is not the term that colmes to mind I think steaing tax payers money would have been more approtpriate. One MP apparently claimed for hanging a chandalier in his house.
