Peroni, Pilsner Urquell or Tsing Tao.....why bother with anything else??

Speaking to a make who has about 10 pubs in north england and they wanted to bring in Peroni, the distributors only allow it sold if it was a pound dearer than the next lager as they want to market it as a 'premium' brand. Such a load of w**k for the Fosters of italy.

Id say a lot has to do with the type of fella the professional lad is as well. If he was a prima donna coming back im sure there would be lots of bad blood but he was one of the lads who made good and a good club man im sure there would be more good feeling

Former Republic of Ireland manager Brian Kerr blames GAA and Hurling for creating Irish football's "mongrel dog" playing sytle.

"Why are they technically better? I think our culture is contaminated by the fact that we have a lot of rugby and a lot of soccer and we've too much Gaelic as well and hurling."

He claims that Irish teams will always struggle to match their European counterparts in the skill stakes because of the the school taught mostly Gaelic and hurling, but not soccer.

"That's had an impact on the style of the game in Ireland and that nobody comes from a culture where it's only and specifically soccer and the influence is we just play it like we should play it."

WHAT DO YOU THINK, GUYS? I'm not posting here to create a fire or any sort of between different Irish sports. But this has to be cleared, that GAA and Hurling shouldn't be blamed for other's fault.

Why didnt you post the whole article instead of taking certain quotes out of context. It was taken from the Second Captains podcast and they were discussing the technical levels of the Balkans compared to us and he put Gaelic Football , Hurling and Rugby in the same pot to explain the different culture irish kids have playing different sports at a young age and the different  aim of the games ( in his view, from soccer being possession based to the others main aim getting to the other end of the pitch as soon as possible)

I think so. Romania and Georgia are certainly worthy of consideration for the 6 nations. They are no worse than Italy were when they were invited in. I wonder about the likes of Fiji, Samoa and Tonga though. It might be an unpopular thing to say, but I thought they were disappointing in this tournament. Japan were a breath of fresh air, but the rest of the pacific islands (I know I'm taking a liberty including Japan in that term) were poor. But is their an appetite down under to help them? New Zealand, for all their achievements and standing, have raped those countries for years for their best players. Would they really like to see Samoa, Tonga and Fiji given a better tournament to play in? Would they let them into an expanded Rugby Championship?

I have my doubts.

Have they though? The majority of the All Blacks 'islanders' were actually born in New Zealand and the Likes of Tonga/Samoa and Fiji have loads of New Zealand born players playing for them.

Was at the game yesterday and there was 3 flags on show, The Italian flag, the Tricolour and the Ulster Flag ( The Yellow with the Red Hand) . Is this ulster flag always there for the rugby, never noticed it myself.

It has been a fantastic tournament to date. Have thoroughly enjoyed the games.

Looking forward to seeing the lads on Sunday and cannot wait for Cardiff next week.

Heading from London for the France game, going to spend the night in Cardiff the night before. Still some decent deals on airbnb compared to the hotels. The trip from London to Cardiff for the Canada game was ridiculous , standing all the way to Cardiff. Anyone heading to the Italy game?

Has any one got one? Is it something worth having?

I wouldnt go near it unless you have tried it a few times and like it. i got one a few years ago and like the idea of using them more than the reality. i found them very boring and very messy and noisy ( they eat tyres) so you need to have them in a shed or easily cleaned room . You have to use old tyres or specials and these shed a lot of rubber so might not be suitable for the road so  you might have to change tyres any time you want to go for a spin.

What has this got to do with the Irish Guards? There are new clubs popping up all over the world every year so im not sure why you have to highlight The Irish Guard.

The Bridge Tavern down the road from the Sunset is a great place to watch a match, its rough and ready but a proper old dublin boozer.

Doesn't take much to be considered a legend these days.

I don't understand so many warm ups. There's a couple of group games where it should be possible to experiment and change things up a little. Modern rugby is too physical to expect anything better than to lose 4 starting players over the course of the tournament. 3 friendly matches should take you closer to 6-7 absentees.

Im sure i read somewhere that the number of warm up games this time is to make up for the loss of earnings of the autumn internationals

It is incredible that Kilkenny can churn out so many brilliant players over such a long period of time. They have had huge number of players retired over the last 3 years but they have all been replaced and have won consetitive All Ireland. They have lost over 80 All Ireland with the retirements of Shefflin , JJ, Tommy Walsh, Eddie Brennan. Michael Kavanagh, Aiden Fogarty, Noel Hickey , Brian Hogan, Martin Comerford and lots more i havent listed.
