Must be hard to understand that a chap representing 400,000,000 people in negotiations with a Government representing 60,000,000 doesn't give 2 flying fcuks for a group representing 240,000 who live in a fantasy world.
This really is senior hurling.

Correct and the DUP are sending out Jamie Bryson to play for them😂

Orfhlaith Begley is a pure Sinn Fein Robot, a very poor performance last night. Shows how much SF care about the constituents in this seat when they're putting her forward.
McCrossan did rightly and certainly came across the most polished who actually talked sense.
Buchanan couldn't get to grips with the idea that the West Tyrone overwhelmingly voted Remain yet he was for Brexit.
Chris Smyth seems a right sort but he's strangled by the fact he's in the UUP
Stephen Donnelly also talks a lot of sense. Alliance vote will probably drop on the back of this.

Begley to romp home. Turnout down. Which doesn't say much for the electorate in West Tyrone.

I thought McCrossan came across as a bit of arrogant little twit  ...

Yer man Donnelly from Alliance was the best speaker of the lot of them and spoke sense with it....

At times the young SF girl Begley looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights but she got through it ...
She would need to try and get rid of that awful monotone voice .. maybe that was just on the night and she's not like that generally..
.. anyway, between the scared look & the monotone voice she was very robotic .... but here, she's very young, it was her first crack at it and she'll no doubt get better....

Dodds let it slip on Radio Uladh, that the DUP supported Brexit to strengthen the Union (border). They really would see themselves in penury rather than give an inch to nationalism.

It was hardly the biggest reveal now I think we all knew that . . . I know some Republicans did the same thinking it would bring us closer to Ireland.

We still don't know which one is right yet . . . if NI gets special status and a sea border we will be closer to Ireland.

If they get a hard border then they will have won it's still up in the air!!

In reality, the DUP hoping for a hard border is like turkeys voting for christmas ......  they seem oblivious to it but if this happens they are just pushing more & more nats and economic unionists into voting for a UI in a future border poll..

The current neanderthal biggots that lead unionism will never consider a UI.

I dont say this lightly but I firmly believe we would go back to a war before unionism would agree to a UI

Its a lot harder to murder people when you dont have swathes of the RUC, UDR, BA & MI5 behind you, supplying & directing you and helping you escape after the event...  The Loyalists wont have that....

Anyway, if there was a vote for an UI, what exactly would they be fighting for ?

PS.

There is so much wrong with your original post that it's not even worth discussing.  To read that article and come up with that rubbish points to you either having a HUGE agenda which means you will basically draw any conclusion you want, regardless of the facts... or you are barely literate.

You are convincing no-one with that sort of bullshit.

And under your view/opinion, no one can have a contrary view to SF.  There are many who do not and never will agree with SF in their past, current or future actions.  Any opinion contrary to that of SF and/or those in support of its leadership has no value in your world but not surprising.

Here Owen, I think you've just ruined your argument right there .. the bits in bold sort of give the game away dont you think  ::)

Yep, was thinking that myself  ???

Deserves a thread of its own, I think.

Am I being a begrudger or is he really an insufferable West Brit bollox?

He's right. The treatment of the Rohingya is horrific. As usual we Irish have to indulge in whataboutery and make it about his Knighthood. Of course the Shinners in council more worried about flying a Catalan flag than Rohingya babies burned alive.

He's an absolute horror and is so "west british" Im certain he must be Conor Cruise Obrien & RD Edwards' illegitimate spawn  :o

And if he's going about giving honours back due to human rights issues then maybe he should have a look at his knighthood, the insufferable west brit brown nosing pr1ck ....

The point about science and religion not being mutually exclusive is true, but the point is that religion loses a lot of its lustre when, after insisting in fairly inflexible terms that this is the truth and the only way, it rushes back to reinvent itself with each new major scientific discovery which proves what it has said thus far to be nonsense.

The fact is, none of us know, science admits it and points to logical likelihoods, religion insists it does know and if everyone else doesn't agree with it they're doomed.

and thats why Ive personally come to the conclusion that Im just about smart enough to know that Im not smart enough to know .. either way (and neither is anyone else)..

What some people call "God" is possibly what other people call the "unknown" in all of this....

So who did start the Big Bang then?
I'd say nobody said that the Earth was  literally created in seven days in that class, unless Nelson McCausland was teaching it.

Yep, thats kinda what I always say to 100% athiests who recite the "science proves religion doesnt exist" theory .... I dont see why belief in a God/higher power or in science have to be mutually exclusive ?

I would in no way pander to the crackpot fundamentalist (pedophile facilitating excuser) religious views of the retched fearon but I do sit somewhere between Agnostic & believer .... and the % changes on a daily basis :-/ ....

Ive come to the conclusion that Im just about smart enough to know that Im not smart enough to know .. in my view, anyone who is 100% either way (athiest or believer) is a cretin .....  (edit, or else theyve had a visitation and I havent had one yet  :o  lol )

I know it was. It was gut wrenching. But we were beat by a far better team. It happens in football. I don't believe any other manager would have gotten us any closer to Dublin. They are a level above everyone at the minute in my opinion. I would be surprised to see them not run out 5 point victors against Mayo (Sorry Mayo lads, and I sincerely hope I'm wrong).
I think we are all playing for second place at the minute as I think Dublin will continue to get stronger.

Am I the only one who thinks that the Dubs arent exactly as "unbeatable" as everyone is making out ?

We were "absolute sh1te" on the day, we stood off them, never laid a hand on them .. We would have made anyone look good...
Maybe Im wrong but I honestly dont think they're all they're being cracked up to be .. very good yes but still overrated IMHO.

Mayo for SAM  :o

Is it impossible for Tyronies to respond on topic to a post without reference to how shite the other poster's own county is? Childish & tiresome whataboutery.

Amazing anyone could think this Tyrone side could be any better with anyone else.

Whatever Harte's faults no one will do better for Tyrone than him. Bet there'll be no player revolt there. Who do dissatisfied Tyrone supporters think should manage in his place?

They want Logan and Dooher and who can blame them? Ulster's and McKenna cups mean very little anymore and they need some fresh thinking to get over the line. Many Tyrone men will tell you that the best players aren't playing for the county because they don't fit into the "system" Logan and Dooher could at least wipe the slate clean in that regard.

Probably cheaper too!!

lol .. Can someone tell me why a Londonderry man is posting on a Gaelic football site?   :o

Every 5 minutes a Tyronie needs to be told just how good their team is.

Every 5 mintues Main Street thinks about Tyrone and sobs for a while before entering a discussion board to vent!  ;D

Tee McCann outstanding player - I for one never thought he would be one to come trough from youth ranks never mind be such a talent - hard work pays!

lmao
