From a Cavan perspective the 1997 All Ireland semi when we missed a simple goal chance in second half.

2004 versus Armagh in Ulster semi when we had Pierce McKenna sent of after 30 seconds for an air punch on Francie. Ger Pierson nearly chipped Hearty to win it.

The last three defeats to Monaghan in Ulster. The first by a point when we should have had a free in at end, then another by a point with Monaghan's bench being the difference plus an incorrect black card for Martin Reilly and last year by a goal with us hitting the post at end.

Not sure what O'Rourke has done to be considered. Or maybe that's where Cavan are at. He was a disaster with Louth a few years ago. Poacher very defensive.

If Cavan are looking outside the county. They should look outside Ulster

Poacher defensive with Carlow. Cut his cloth accordingly but does some great attacking training with teams if needed.

Looking like Aidan O Rourke and Poacher for Cavan job. Also will have a world class S and C coach in Mike McGurn and one ex Cavan player involved too.

Ramsey played very far forward. More or less a striker. Emery wants to play out from keeper which Cech will struggle with. Torreira and Lacazette made difference when came on so expect them to start Saturday with Aubameyang out wide. Lichsteiner shut Marhez down by pure aggression and should probably start.

Anyone know what happened with Damien Donohoe and the Bailieboro players? Odd of him to mention it on twitter, not like him at all.

Great result from the U16s. If they can win it out with all the extra teams there now it will be a good result. Next year is their year at Minor so fingers crossed they'll be able to bring that form to Ulster same as last year's minor team yet.

Not sure about Damien but it may be related to some stupid stuff their PRO was at, had a go at the celt when they won citing some article giving them little chance of the win. It was then pointed out to him that the article was from Gaelic Life ::)
I believe Damien did their Lip Sync for them too so its pretty crappy carry on if they had verbals with him after the game, maybe he is due an apology.

Yeah strange behaviour from a club account. However I do enjoy Ballinaghs Twitter feed.

It was hard to get even excited about the Semi finals. The super 8s seem to have killed the interest in the Semis. Teams playing consecutIve weeks and then into the Semi final.

The crowds were poor as well for the Semi finals.

Unless you're Dublin with a huge squad who does so many games benefit?

The ref sore enough on Monaghan the day!

Stone wall black card for Tyrone FB. Bottle job by ref. He's a joke.

Monaghan player grabbed his arm too.

Beggan is better than Cluxton.

This is a really poor spectacle, some woeful wides both sides.

I think it's a good game. Great tackling, kick outs, fielding.

Wow some start tonight in championship. Surely Conor Smith deserves a chance with county.

Really dont see why so many are tipping Liverpool this season. Salah was key last year and he will be lucky to get half the goals this year.

How did Courtois only go for £35 million? Top 5 keepers out there yet going for only half the price of others.

One year on contract.

Kerry players aren't immune to dishing out criticism. Tomas O'Sť fairly went to town on Cian O'Neill. Different breed down there. A lot of self-entitlement.

If this is as widespread as it's starting to look then I'm sure o'Neill had a few letters sent to him from within Kildare too.

Like who even writes letters anymore?

My thoughts exactly ,who writes letters,a lot of people nowadays would not know where to get a stamp.

Shows the age profile of the offender.
