I thought Heat was brilliant, Pacino annoyed the hell out of me in it with his over-acting and shouting but still loved it.  Think The Departed is hugely over-rated though.  The Town was very good.

Thought Nicholson did the same in The Departed. Hamming it up big time.

Certainly. Played himself as a parody yet again. And it's very debatable that any film with Matt Damon in it could be called good.

Serious, you don't like any of

Good Will Hunting
Rounders
Saving Private Ryan
Green Zone
Invictus
The Bourne Trilogy
Oceans XI
#newbridgeornowhere

The Real Laoislad

Went Sport movies mad over the last few weeks, dunno why but just start downloading a load of them and have been watching them over the past few nights.
Hadn't seen any of these before apart from A Gentlemans Game which is a great Golf movie.

Bill Durham
Eight Men Out
A Gentlemans Game
Hoosiers
Varsity Blues
The Natural
All the right moves.

Enjoyed them all.

Not that I don't particularly like them, but in every film he's in it's just Matt, no range or depth or anything. Very one-dimensional actor IMHO.

Canalman

Personally cannot see anything in Damon as an actor............. brings nothing to a film ever imho. Massive star so he must be doing something right but for the life of me I cannot see it.

As for Hoosiers/Best Shot, if there is a better sports film around I have yet to see it. Watchable over and over again.

Is he not playing that part as it is written in each case?

The key to success is to be consistently competitive -- if you bang on the door often it will open

To be honest i haven't been able to take to these pair.

They were on the Chris Moyles show this morning and I just didn't find them funny.

I like to see the fairways more narrow, then everyone would have to play from the rough, not just me

Does anyone stream movies through their ps3? Any recommended sites? I used to use stagevu to download free films but that window has now shut

Capt Pat

Shaun of the Dead is ok but ridiculously over rated. It is just an average movie, zombieland is light years ahead in that genre
