Watched some of 2010 the other night. Great special effects but then got tedious. Nonsense the way they were always a foot in front of the volcano and storms etc. A miss  :-\

I watched the Man Who STares At a Goat at the weekend. Very disappointed in it. There was nothing there believeable and the performance of George Clooney made him look very foolish.

It's a true story.

And a damn boring one! Couldn't even finish watching it on a plane.

well i watched avatar and all i could think was i wish i was at the cinema, that aside i thought it was good. very cameron, a bit like last of the mochincan's meets univeral solider meets An Inconvenient Truth with a dollop of bravehert and an essence of Pochahontas all topped off with pretty colours.

it is being re-released in the summer so i will go and see it then!
I'm trying to decide on a really meaningful message..

Am I alone in thinking Avatar was the biggest pile of Shite with a storyline you could see coming from the instant your man turned into one of them blue boyo's!

Whilst visually it was very impressive, the storyline wasn't up to much.

i was expecting alot more from the story line.... it was too "simple"..... as previosly stated nothing new just a combo of other films

though have to say i'd love to see it in the cinema... as ziggy said visually i am sure it looked class.

Avatar. Dances With Wolves in Space.

But a very, very pretty flick.

EagleLord

I'm a bit raging I never got to see it in cinema too! I'll be getting it on DVD for sure like. I loved it myself, probably just got over-awed by the graphics etc..the plot is a bit thin alright..

Capt Pat

I thought that "Men who stare at goats was pretty good".

-1  I thought the effects were incredible and i'd love to fly one of those big bird things. It was an acid trip man... you young people  ::)

Saw Iron Man 2. Great film. good craic. It's Hollywood gong-wooh, but sure most people were expecting that. Not as good as the first film, but it ticks all the boxs that was expected in the sequel. including the Stan Lee cameo.
