Maurice Fitz v Armagh in 2000. Solo with the right, shot with the left. I could watch him all day even when beating us single-handed. Two points in particular v Mayo in 1997... First from the ground from almost the right 13m sideline with his left and second from 40m right sideline with the right. Young Clifford has the same build and gait and I am conflicted as to whither I want to see him develop to the same level. In my 50 plus years watching only Matt Connor comes close to Maurice for sheer football skill.

Stevie McDonnell over the shoulder point 2003.

I was going to post this.
Gormley's "block" was also an example of a high skill level, it isn't all about attack.

Barney Rock goal v Galway 1983

As good and clever as Mickey Sheehys goal on Paddy Cullen but never gets the accolades!
It was but unfortunately for Barney, it's overshadowed by all the other crap that went on in that game.
Durcan's kick out in 2014 was very similar...

Had Manus stuck it in the net instead of off the bar and over, Donegal's move that led to the fourth point in the '92 final. Rambo gathers the break in his own parallelogram, launches a 70m kick up the right wing, Declan Bonner jumps and collects the bouncing ball perfectly, lays it off to Molloy who hits his legendary 40 yards fist pass to Tony Boyle; Tony skins Hargan and plays it across to Manus, who somehow blasts it off the bar and over.

That was when we knew.... ;D

Rambo hadn't a clue where that was going.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Two similar goalkeeping errors than high levels of skill.

He kicked some scores that day.....after he broke Billy O'Shea's leg!

Bernard Flynn's masterclass of dummying and shooting in 1991.

Don Davis's sumptuous pass to John O'Driscoll for a goal in the 1993 final.

Brian McGuigan's dummy, go and shot for a point in the first half of the 2005 final.

They all had lead in their boots compared to Teddy McCarthy.

It was rather surprising Teddy never tried his hand at basketball, especially in late 1980s Cork when and where basketball was in its heyday in this country.

Mickey Linden scoring a point off his weaker foot against Meath in 91.  He had been practising for years. Barney McAleenan told him it might come in handy some time.

Although it pained me massively at the time and I haven't exactly warmed to the goalscorer in the intervening years, but Pat Spillane's diving palmed goal v Tyrone in the 1986 All Ireland final was a moment of pure class. Also Ger Power's pass (after blatantly fouling Plunkett Donaghy) into Mikey Sheehy for the second goal wasn't too shabby either.

Teddy always struck me as a chap who believed winter was for wintering .

Good shout. O'Driscoll's goal wasn't bad either.
