Someone should tell Aidan O'Shea to move the ball on to the lads with more footballing ability.

That was my next question to ye :) Remember I have to do 3 drafts. Now with 10 teams it should be shorter than last year.

Our options are either Weekday (nights) Irish time, but that discommodes the American based lads who work, or else Weekends.

Given that there are 3 weekends between now and the launch of the season on 8th Sept, we have to get our house in order.

On the basis of my own availability (selfish I know), I would prefer three drafts on the following times.

This weekend - Sunday Evening (after the Football Semi Finals)

Next Weekend - Sunday Evening (after the Football Semi Finals)

Saturday 3rd September Evening OR Sunday 4th September Evening (after the hurling finals).

In fact, if it is Sunday evening, then the later the better. I'm talking Sunday game time. What do ye think?

Definitely. Offaly SFC on Sunday evening AZ!

How could you have Andy Reid over Tom Landry or Joe Gibbs??

Emmm. ''Active'' coaches. Joe Gibbs hasn't been active in a while...

It's just the momentum of the player that makes it drift forward, no harm in that but it really depends on how the ref interprets it.

Tyrone were the team of the decade by a mile.....................just highlighting the fact that ye could whoop the likes of us, mayo cork etc......................but never the bould tyrone..................

Yeah, pity Dublin could never beat Tyrone in their prime either(05,08). You've beaten a washed up Tyrone side, nowhere near the side they once were. Do any of your posts even resemble anything even remotely close to quality?

During the week, we would have small enough number, but at the weekend, we would be in the mid 20's, which is good for a rural club.

On a side note, what it the standard with other counties in relation to championship.
We have a player, whose father sadly passed away this week.  The funeral is on Sunday. We requested that the game be called off, but were told by the CB that this would not be accepted as our game is on the saturday.  Is this normal?

Nope, that would(and should) be cancelled in most counties.

Was at the game today, couldn't believe how poor Tyrone were, particularly in defence. Brogan and Connolly(some of his point taking was a joy to behold) were terrific but both had a free reign, Tyrone's marking was incredibly slack. Dublin's pace in attack was in stark contrast to Tyrone's laboured build up. They just kept running into the tackles of the Dublin men, they never learned. Has to be said, the ref did Tyrone no harm either.

People being slightly disrespectful to tyrone. Dublin will have to play the best football they've played in two years of championship if they are to overturn tyrone. Some of tyrones personell changes have worked well.
Best 15

Surely you mean Tyrone will have to put in their best performance since 2008 to beat Dublin??

Dublin have went back from last year when they met a Tyrone team who should have beat them handily enough. If Tyrone repeat last years performance with only a slight improvement on their forward display they will win.

I agree we're shite and we know it.

Tyrone have beaten all of longford, armagh and roscommon.

As they say that's the form of champions.

We're just going up to provide the colour and cheer on Aslan.

At least Tyrone comfortably beat those teams above unlike Dublin in there games v Kildare & Wexford & IMO Longford,Roscommon are about the same level as Wexford.

Just to ick up on this- Wexford are better than both those teams. Still think Tyrone will win this one by 4-6 points.

Pity. When his head was right, he was by a mile the best receiver in the league in recent years.

So. ... is it essentially going to be two tiered with two totally separate leagues?
