Are all the Queen's lads happy they've pulled out?

I reckon some would have seen this as their big chance to impress before Sigerson without the 'big named players'.

A superb player, who could run rings around anyone during the glory years. Every county had their villians and Ricey was ours. Not that he ever did anything too bad, just people were looking for excuses to crucify him. The McEntee incident was terrible though.

He was your villain, fair enough, we had Francie as our's, the difference in the two men was night and day, one was hard as nails and uncompromising, the other was a slabber cheap shot artist who was an ugly human being on and off the field.

I have posted my details on here when challenged before so i won't do it again, I will say this though, I hope that tr**p gets whats coming to him and to me he, along with mcmenamin, is one of the biggest scumbags ever to play gaelic football at ANY level, never mind senior!

I never mentioned Francie, a fine player he was too.

Lets not pretend that Armagh are angels. What about the carry on to get Peter Canavan and Stephen O'Neill sent off in the 2005 Ulster Final. Not the actions of purity is it.

Ziggy your memory is playing tricks on you...

Stevie shouldered Andy Mallon over the sideline, after he left himself open clearing the ball from defence.

& McKeever saved wee Peter from people standing on him, as he lay at the bottom of the shamozzle (a shamozzle he started I believe...)

QuoteI was too busy trying to keep count of the amount of yellows the lad Wootan should've had.

Is he one of the Wootan Clan?  It's alright, I have me coat ...

RACIST!!

Brilliant!  ;D

Manchester United should play with two wingers.
Too predictable.

I like it. It's very fluid. Front 3/4 should go where there's space, constantly changing, give n go.

It's success will be very reliant on workrate though.

General discussion / Re: Rugby - what's the attraction?

Rugby - I've been to see Ireland 2 or 3 times.
Soccer - I've been to see Ireland about 4 or 5 times.

The rugby crowd is easily more affable than the Soccer crowd.

At the last Ireland v Brazil game in Croker a group of young fella's (rote!) proceeded to beat the head of some random fella about 10 seats in front of us, before they were put out.

At the Ireland Cyprus game, poor ol Stevie Staunton got tirades of abuse the whole match, but the real clincher for me was when Ireland (I thing robbie Keane) scored the equalizing goal the HOME "Support" booed!!

I know where i'd rather be sitting alongside!

Like any sport, it's the competitiveness that attracts me.

The massive hits all over the field, the hand skills such as the unexpected off load in a tackle.

At the top level the tactics are compelling!

Always makes me laugh Liverpool fans complaining about highly dubious penalties being awarded to other teams!  ;D

Then give out when a UTD fan points out something on the Relegation scrap Thread.

Watched MOTD2 last night, the Liverpool supporting presenter, the former Liverpool legend defender, and the former Arsenal player, & self confessed boyhood Liverpool fan ALL agreed the referee got all the major calls on the day correct. Yet the Liverpool fans still feel agrieved?

League table doesn't lie!

Maybe you should go take a look and see what self confessed Liverpool hater Gary Neville said after the game on Sunday.

I switched over to watch the AI Final on Sunday. Didn't record the analysis part either.
What did he say?

Lawro said he could see why Brendan Rodgers would call for a red on Evans, but he agreed with the ref.

On the big calls:

John Joe - by the letter of the law deserved a red... he dived in 2 feet, over aggressively, & caught Evans so if he appeals, he'll be unsuccessful. IMO it was harsh, it should've been his second yellow  (he emptied Rafa near the sideline earlier). He was out of control... & would've hurt someone if he'd stayed on any longer.

I'd have given Evans a yellow too. I think he was saved, as he actually got the ball ahead of John Joe.

The Pen - I'm not sure how you can argue against it, Tony V was about to pull the trigger, when Johnson pushed & clipped him from behind. He never even appealed against the decision, very unlike the Liverpool players on the day... they appealed for every single decision!

Liverpool will hope Suarez stays clear of injury, otherwise a relegation scrap IS on the cards! & with Agger now out, will that mean more game time for Jamie C? Disaster if so. Although Coates maybe a better option.

you're more inconsistent than Halsey !

I said i'd give them both yellows... inconsistent?
