Sounded like there was a bit of entertainment for those who braved the horrible conditions anyway.

Galway Bay's Ollie and Barry getting really excited by the result! :)     ;)

HT Mayo 0-8 Galway 0-6. Galway have the wind advantage for the 2nd half.

Must have been a decent wind if we only managed 1-1 in the second half

An Fhairche Abu

Couldn't take much from that for either team, conditions sounded abysmal. If the fixture pressure wasn't there I doubt that match tonight goes ahead.

Not every day 3 Galway players see the line in one game.  ;D

Have you ever heard a GBFM match commentary before? It's that way all the time regardless of what's happening on the pitch, they don't get called Galway Biased FM for nothing.

Ah we have our own biased crew on Midwest Radio. It was Comedy gold listening to the commentary. Lines like ''there is an eerie silence among the Mayo fans leaving'' and ''This sets up the League game in Salthill'' were looking through my hands moments!  ;D

You might have a quiet word with them if you see them around Clonbur on Sunday AFA! 😜

Sounded like Cunningham was injured coming off - anyone able to confirm?
His club has a divisional u21 final tomorrow.
I heard a rumour that he turned down signing for Cork City to see how he gets on with Galway.
Not sure how true that is though.

Hope this Padraic Cunningham keeps improving as for tonight's game plenty of bite and (fight) it's nice to get the win.Galway sounded like they were turning over ball which is good to hear.i don't know is the new trainer paddy tally with them yet and hopefully he can improve them even more.
Looking towards the league I think Galway will struggle along with mayo and donegal.Looking forward to gal v mayo in the league, winning this one could be the difference between staying up or relegation.
