Antrim / Re: Antrim Hurling
Not sure about Davy Fitz, he would be massively expensive, he would more than likely do a runner after a year or two if something handier comes up in the south.

Would he have any interest in the structures of Antrim hurling, how minors or U-20s are getting on ? I doubt it

Quote from: Gallybander on July 21, 2024, 06:50:13 PMLots of great feedback from British viewers today on social media. The game was shown live on BBC 2.
It was some advertisement for hurling. A week ago they were bored to death with Gareth Southgate's shiteball.

Every reply, they are amateur.

And they're all into work in the morning 😆 I doubt it
I flicked it on too BBC and heard t nibs say the block was beyond belief so straight back to rte I went.

Niblock tries too hard. Constantly  looking for  legendary Michéal O'M type lines

💯 looking for the clips to go viral on Twitter during the week

As obvious a free as you will see at the end, great game

Will you not potentially have Clare players deliberately dragging their heels getting outside the 21 ?

I wonder will the scanning system be affected in Croke Park

Think even the bog standard 10 year tickets where you are guaranteed two football and two hurling final tickets are really expensive.
#7
Think I have read somewhere it's 16k each for competing counties

Quote from: JonnyD_ on July 16, 2024, 09:54:05 AMthink i may have spoken to soon. there's two results are already listed as 0-00 v 0-00. looks like a few of the teams have pulled out @SaffronSports. (https://antrim.gaa.ie/fixtures/u21-a-hc)
probably a handful of kids just in the age group who are going to miss out. too old for minor and and too young for senior.

With holidays and stuff it's not a good time to be trying to get games played, but with U20's/U21's there never is a good time TBH.

Yep this is the window players were given to take holidays if they wanted to

Yeah juvenile tickets only available from 301-323, which is the lower Cusack by the hill round to the corner of the Davin where it meets the Hogan & then 701-723 on the upper deck.

Double letters in the Davin are pretty good, you have a great view of the pitch if you are back a bit, much better than those corner seats.

Kiely probably too loyal to his half backs yesterday, Hannon in particular should have been hooked as he was in all sorts of bother - as he was in the first game too. It's not as if Limerick don't have options. WOD or Cathal O'Neill to 6

Quote from: imtommygunn on July 05, 2024, 08:51:51 AMThere's 8 unionist MPs in total so you would have thought this was a unionist front? Alliance only got 1 seat which must be hugely disappointing to them.

9 nationalist 8 unionist and 1 alliance. Is that the correct reading of it?

In fairness think Alliance always going to get it tight in East Belfast and North Down.  Happy for Eastwood in Lagan Valley

Eastwood just another one looking for the higher MP salary

What makes you say that?  Would you rather some of the other candidates in LV got in?

That's two different, unrelated things, I could care less who gets in as none of them have any clout or influence in WM.

Eastwood the same as Swann, Nicholl in South Belfast & Claire Hanna previously - sitting MLAs that just want to get to Westminster for the vastly superior salary & expenses.
