Anyone want to guess what their FPV % will be in the upcoming Local Elections

But FPV% is a clearer indication as to whether top line support has gone up or down.

ffs please not Southgate, he has wasted England best chance to win something over the last few tournaments. The English seem blinded to his incompetence. He speaks well to the media and is a likeable guy but is tactically brain dead

They lost a final on penalties and then lost to a team who missed out on retaining the WC on penalties. I don't think that's down to Southgate "wasting" anything.

I don't know what the motivation was but there certainly is some logic in the 3 teams going through other than money. It greatly reduces the number of dead rubbers and increases the importance of topping the group.

you have got it all wrong. Its all money. Grab all association and what have you..........

I wouldn't go that far but is people in Croke Park whose remit is to maximise profits and at times they need to be reined in.

Don't have any faith in Derry getting a result against Galway, don't think we have ever beat them in Senior championship.

Last time we played them in Q's, Conor Lane gave us as sore a riding as I've ever seen from a referee.

This version of Derry has played Galway a few times, lost 2 and won 1, league / championship. So history, bogey team etc wouldn't come into my thinking. Home advantage and their inside forward line does. If I was a gambling man I'd say there will only be a kick of a ball in it with Galway winning a fairly open game of football. Could be a cracker. Hope I'm wrong

I'm not sure what your point is, or if you're agreeing or disagreeing with me.

No version of Derry has ever beaten Galway in championship, you can be sure that will be a factor on saturday.

Injuries look like being the main factor atm if true

I'm hearing McEvoy is the main doubt and the others should play... in that case who picks up Comer?

It's a 50/50 game even if we're fully fit. I think recent results have pushed Derry out of the top 3 and back into the group of 6 teams that could all beat eachother on a given day.

Derry/Galway/Armagh - Donegal/Tyrone - Mayo.

You'd expect all of these will get into the last 12.

We lost to the eventual Champions every year 2010 to 2016.
13 and 16 particularly galling.

I believe it's €25 for the Final.

why would anyone in Down want to become a referee when they seen how our best ref was treated and after all the talk of rigorous investigation its now been brushed under the carpet and why would the county board not hush it when the clubs and current referees stand by and let that happen. 

Not sure it was brushed under the carpet as I think the outcomes were shared with the referees during a meeting at the start of the year.

One of Paul Faloons requests to have all championship referee's mic'd up and recorded is to be introduced this year I believe.

Surely with such a robust investigation being carried out by croke park on behalf of down into how the county board handled the process then all clubs would be privy to the findings of that report? I dont think such a report even exists or any investigation was carried out.
officials are micd up anyway in championship but there isnt enough to go around on big match weekends , and as for recording everything im not sure how that happens without all new gear purchased.

the very fact no one knows exactly whats gone on 7 months later is a disgrace.

i agree completely wobbler, it has to be on coaches and club to enforce

The report findings were shared with our county board rep.

There are two different issues here; the report reflects a sad chapter in our county's history where there were no winners. The recommendations should be implemented and we move on.

Each club has a responsibility to develop referees and , more importantly, develop respect for referees. We can learn from the LGFA; at a game on Saturday one of our players got injured and the ref handled the situation very well, both teams gave and got respect.

what were the findings ?

Our referee has quit because of the abuse apparently so how would the rule be implemented that every club has to have one. I was at an underage match in the past week and thought we had something going - A coach told a player to stop talking to the ref. Great, well done coach. Less than 30secs had gone before the coach started on the ref. It's in all ages groups, at all levels, in all counties.
