I plan to hit the road around 9am, hopefully arrive in Dublin for 11ish although that could be optimistic.

It shouldn't be worse. There were 40,000 Down and Armagh people on the road that day, there won't be more than that this time, unless the ticket gathering is especially successful.

I can understand for some people who don't necessarily have a club may find it difficult to get a ticket, although surely if you attend all of your counties games you would have bought a season ticket which would save you money over the season plus guarantee you an all Ireland final ticket? Anyone who is part of a club, if they put their time in and volunteered for their club over the years then they would be guaranteed a ticket.

I know with my own county in 2021 I remember hearing the same sob stories from people who claimed to never miss a game or claimed to pay club membership for years but just so happened to miss that year and thought they still deserved a ticket. I guarantee there will be some rise in club memberships in Galway and Armagh next year.

The season ticket does not have a discount, but if you went to all games it would have saved the cost of the League Final, and it was extremely likely that Armagh was going to be in that final.
Of course even a keen fan does not go to all games, Cork was a stretch and everyone has one weekend when they are not available. So the season ticket costs extra in general, and most Armagh or Galway people were not confident of reaching the final.

They've changed the rules on season tickets. You only need to pay for 6 tickets to get an AIF ticket, and considering they were doing a 3 for 2 on the group stage tickets, getting a season ticket (if they are available) is a no brianer.

You were always able to opt out of one championship game, the 6 rule increases this to two for most counties. This is only really saving you money if you are away, as most people want to go to the championship games. The 3 for 2 was fine, except they limited the number of tickets so you might not get one and there was no mention of that when deciding to buy your season ticket last November.

Absolutely no later than 9am, 8am if you're coming from North armagh.
Traffic/ parking will be bedlam. May as well beat all that and hang around Drumcondra for a few hours.

Any recommendations on that.  I went to the qpark for the semi final.

Rois

We would try to park in St Vincent's School just past Glasnevin, they open their grounds and charge a fee. Means you avoid Drumcondra on way in and out. If that's full, you can drive up to Glasnevin cemetery and park there or in one of the estates opposite.

Or go through the tunnel, take the East Wall Rd and head towards Clonliffe, park on street somewhere, or park at 3 Arena, get luas to Connolly and walk from there. €4 on a Sunday for tunnel.

Milltown Row2

If down early enough turn down the rd for Parnell Park, take the first right at the lights and follow that road down, there are a few places to park, but usually full early doors, then meander down to Meaghers and soak in the craic.

The aul boy behind the bar is rattling out the Guinness in record time and the weathers to be great, they have a large beer garden out the back, well that's what I did on Sunday there for the hurling. Headed back and had couple more pints (the designated driver was ok about lol) and headed home after the surge

That Said all the all the traffic was heading Munster way, good luck getting home
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Saffrongael

Have used Home Farm football club the last few times, €10 fee, just before Skylon. You are out and away in no time. Used it on Sunday and wasn't down too early and still a few spaces (people don't like walking)
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

Cheers folks.  I see there is a post doing the rounds with a right few trains going from Dundalk station.  That's an option I suppose, as long as it is legit.

Do they stop in Drumcondra or straight to Connolly?
