Barcelona 10 points up v the kilkenny champions in the Leinster junior.

Is this the first time a European team has won a club game?

Joeythelips

Great stuff from the Barcelona team.

Ballinagar are in the quarter finals too, but they the Offaly intermediate champions. Anyone know why they are in this and not the Leinster intermediate championship?

Seems very unfair.

Rossfan

Intermediate is 3rd tier in Offaly after Senior A and Senior B.

Mind you Intermediate is 3rd tier in Cork and Galway hurling but the winners are in the Provincial Intermediate.

We're going to bring home the SAM

There is senior B in Laois also, but it acts more like the bottom half teams in Senior go into Senior B, its not exactly a grade. Is Offaly's Senior B a stand alone grade? if so why the rebrand, why not just call it intermediate?

Yes  ;D  ;D  ;D

Also, given the relative strength of the different counties and the, ahem, perhaps somewhat less of a priority given to the big ball game in kilkenny, I'm not sure how much difference it makes, but Conahy Shamrocks are the Kilkenny intermediate champs, even though they also have a junior championship. Their senior champions play in the Leinster inter. In previous years I think the Longford intermediate champions have also played Leinster junior.

Going to be a good match on RTE, Naast really impressive so far

Cuala in control with that 2nd goal. Naas respond with point.  2-10 to 0-12 with 20 minutes to play.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Shamrock Shore

Gaelic football being played properly in Newbridge.

The Trap

Was played properly in Newry apart from ref and in Cargin 3 21 to 6 12. Plenty of good games every week up and down the country, especially at club level.
Mostly because club competitions are set up correctly and teams of a similar standard play eachother.
Mismatches at county level will never be fixed no matter what the rules are!

Great goal for Naas. 1-14 to 2-13 52 minutes played.

This is it exactly, teams at a similar level will fancy going toe to toe. Shows we don't need the rule changes, this is a cracking game

The Trap

Yea Sam
Plus these games are knock out championship. All on the line.
Can't beat that.

Some pace to the Naas v Cuala game.

Brendan

Bringing the keeper up the pitch to hit 3 frees for him to miss all of them
