McKenzie is a great watch, NZ often looking for ways to bench him but they're far better with him on, reminds me of Gatland not trusting Liam Williams who brought an extra dimension to the Wales attack

Can hardly blame him for NZ encroaching and poor throws. Kelleher has always been a poor lineout thrower in big games. It was only in the 2nd half that the ref stepped in to keep the gap.

I dont blame players or management,  but the bigging up of Ireland by the Media and on TV nearly sets them up for a fall. Favourites near sits well with Ireland, especially against top 3 teams.

Wouldn't be well thought of round Ardboe over the past few years with the way he handled their Senior team with the double jobbing. At County level he had the likes of Mark Bradley, Darren McCurry, Ronan O'Neill and Conor McAliskey all available to him at the peak of their powers and had them all leaving the panel at various junctures because he couldn't fit them into his defensive counter attacking running game system.
I would argue that RON never peaked he was an exceptional underage player much like Coney and Mulgrew who didn't materialise into the player he should have.Had a decent career overall but didn't turn into the player he could have imo.

Would any of those players have made the 03 team? Horse did. Legend!
Not really comparing like for like. They are all forwards and the forwards Tyrone had then were different gravy.. were they as talented as McGee, Gourley, Horse... certainly were

So, Craigbane enter themselves into the Ulster Intermediate Football League, but they're still really only junior.

They finish 5th in Division 2 Derry behind the following non-junior clubs:
Lavey (no introduction needed)
Faughanvale (this years IFC finalists)
Glenullin (Winners of 2023 & 2022 IFC)
Banagher (perennial IFC team)
... they even finished above a lock of intermediate teams... but they are still really only junior.

Craigbane won Derry junior two years ago... but they're still Junior?

I remember Middletown won the Armagh IHC few years back, I think there was some rule that they weren't allowed to compete in Ulster again at that level for 3 years. The Ulster Council should maybe look at something similar for the football to stop Cavan, Derry & Donegal taking the piss.

You seem to have ignored everything you've been told by people much more knowledgeable about this level of football in Derry.

They won 1 junior in the last 5 years and were relegated straight away again.

League has (unfortunately) meant nothing in Derry this past few years. Especially with the restructuring going on. Kilrea won Division 1 for example, means absolutely nothing when it comes to championship.

Well then, the county board should make it mean something since it accounts for the majority of fixtures.

Also, Three divisions reflecting the Senior, intermediate and junior grades makes sense and if you win Division 3 you go up to intermediate championship etc.

Saying the league is meaningless is a bit of a cop out!!

thought the same, you're losing by 10 points and are bigging up finding touch.
