Aye I mean she's been at it from no age. People usually blame their misdemeanours on a breakdown in their mental health - don't think she has that excuse.

I just can't believe how gullible some lads can be. Imagine inviting someone you've never met to a wedding! Not condoning the unhinged behaviour of the catfish whatsoever but if I was chatting to someone online (especially some stunner) for more than 2 weeks without meeting them i'd lose interest if I hadn't already spotted the red flags. If something seems too good to be true, it usually is.

Quote from: SaffronSports on January 16, 2025, 09:55:40 PMMost people know who she is anyway but if she's publicly outed there's probably big issues with regard her mental health.

Yeah that's usually the way of it when someone gets caught out

You've seen nothing to date, in her behaviour, that would suggest mental health challenges?

That's it. She has obviously 'mental health challenges' as they say these days! Has taken living in a fantasy world to a whole other level. Hard to see what she gains by doing this apart from thinking she's in a relationship with a GAA 'star'...
I know a few people who would have known her growing up. Apparently she told people she was texting Eoghan Quigg while he was on X-factor. She claimed to have been texting various county minor players while in school. If there's any truth in this I'd maybe exclude the mental health card. This seems to be behaviour she's exhibited from her youth.

Usually when innocent people are accused of serious offences such a woman-beating they come out strongly defending their reputation. His ex wife and friend may just be very convincing liars and RG totally innocent, but from the outset he hasn't given me the impression that the allegations are totally false.

It's pointless engaging with people like whitey. They're incapable of rational thought. Anyone with half a brain cell can grasp what the Israelis are doing, and have been doing, pre-Oct 7th.

The country would be in meltdown if a fella was doing this to woman, she needs locked up.
Fellas are doing this to women albeit not on the same scale. There are Facebook groups in every city where girls post up fellas they've dated or will potentially date who present red flags.

People in working class areas are not as savvy with managing money, which explains why the FAI always squanders any cash until it's in ruins.
Aye, who could forgot the pesky working classes cowping the economy post-tiger...

Quote from: general_lee on January 10, 2025, 11:18:18 AMIt's funny how Rory Gallagher will publicly threaten Burns with legal action but not anyone who made defamatory allegations against a supposed innocent man.

It's a very different scenario. Defamation is a good deal more complicated than that.
I appreciate that, but surely an innocent individual would at least instruct his solicitor to make a bit of noise either through a public statement or letters to persons making the defamation. He didn't hang about with JB.

Maybe more counties should cook the books like Derry.

Let's be honest, if CE or Cross were able to field a 2nds team capable of challenging at senior level you'd still have people saying they should play in a "reserve team only" championship. (I know the above scenario may not be permissible under current rules but you get the gist).

Quote from: DuffleKing on January 03, 2025, 12:58:07 PMGoing forward it may be more leagues and more championships if second teams are added and you play at the level your team demonstrates it's capable of through promotion and relegation.
That would make far too much sense. A Division 4/Junior B championship for any increase in teams. Allow promotion/relegation for all teams. Ah well.

Quote from: Rufus T Firefly on January 03, 2025, 01:20:00 PMIf we have 8 / 9 / 10 Reserve Teams being put forward for the All County league, then why can there not be an All County Reserve League?
I've already made this point, it's a fairly basic principle and CE and Cross have demonstrated it: if clubs' 2nds teams are good enough to reach intermediate semifinals and compete at intermediate level, they should be allowed to and not perennially confined to a 10 team reserve league/championship on the basis that they're not a first team.

And restricted to only ever playing reserve football, despite having the ability to play at a higher level.

Far from it. They'd be playing league football in the all county league system, if their club chose that route. This would be a route to playing in as high a division as possible.  Championship would be reserve however as they're reserve teams.

If they have the ability to play at a higher level then they might find their way on to their club's senior team. Surely that would be the aim for some of them at least.

As for the junior championship being a higher level than a properly run reserve championship, that would be debatable.  Both championships would have strong teams, but also weaker ones as well.
Aye, individuals might experience senior football at some stage in their careers but then again they might not - either way that's irrelevant. I fail to see the point in allowing 2nd teams to find their level in the league but then banning them from doing the same at championship level. All a bit nonsensical to me.

It is academic at this stage, hopefully clubs 2nds reap the benefits of playing league football and make the most of their circumstances.
