I know it's what ifs, but if Daryl Brannigan had to have made himself available, meaning Daniel Guinness could be pushed up to the half forward line, alongside Liam Kerr (I know), and possibly Danny Magill. And a fully fit Barry O'Hagan alongside Havern in the ff line it would certainly leave Down a lot stronger.

But I'm sure every county could say the same, I'm looking forward to the game on Saturday, hopefully 2 points and have a right crack of Monaghan who we produced our best display against so far this year.

See with the forward mark, does the player who caught the mark have to take the free himself after they have played on but referee has deemed no advantage accrued and brings it back to the original mark position?

Back in February we were told by Ulster Council official and referees that if ref decided no advantage had come of the mark after playing on, that anyone could then take the free from the original mark position. I thought this was still the case, but was told otherwise last night.

Look pal, just do whatever the ref tells you and for the love of God don't question it.

A lot of work to get this team up to the standards required to compete in the Sam Maguire. Our ability to finish really cost us the chance to make a game of it today. A few players coming on didn't really get into the game at all. Seems like Laverty has a set list of about 20 players that he wants to use this year. I wish McCrickard got more game time across the two games.
