Quote from: Kidder81 on December 02, 2024, 11:11:03 AMThat this Gregg Wallace story is so big, seems like an absolute tit but top story on bbc website for two days and Downing Street approached for comment? F**k me

If it's inappropriate for a work place then he's bang out of order and needs taken to task for it, but what I do struggle with is the anti-woke brigade of Julia Hartley Brewer and Co going after him.

That's rank hypocrisy on their behalf and probably because of his go at middle aged women but you can't have it both ways.

People in all walks of life eat their cake and still expect to have their cake regardless, my advice, if you're offended by innuendo and objectification DO NOT watch Bake Off, its the new Eurotrash, maybe its something about culinary

I assume these new rules aren't in play for the club semi finals and finals in the new year?

Rachel Riley broke up her marriage to run off with her dance partner on Strictly, neither cancelled, and not the only one. Loose Women is a trope for womens banter up to and including innuendo and objectification, you wouldn't want to be looking for balance or equivalence when it comes to gender wars

Quote from: general_lee on November 28, 2024, 12:37:59 PMDraw a good result. CCV getting some flak for the og but I expect better positioning from the goalie. I'd like to see Valle and Bernardo get more game time at this level. Bit of a Sevconian vibe about the Brugge support so glad they got the goal disallowed.

Schmeichel had moved across to give an option to the previous man to be fair. Your centre half can't just play it back without looking and blame the keeper.
Watch it again and watch what Schmeichel does. CCV was criminally sloppy but the keeper tells Kuhn to pass it to CCV (which he does) while immediately moving at pace away from his 6 yard box looking to be an option. I'd expect better anticipation and chemistry at this level.
CCV, by any credible analysis, was 100% responsible for his panicky decision to blindly send a back pass to his goalie. The main ground rule is that a risky back pass is directed wide of the post. Not only did CCV not know where the goalie was placed but didn't even know where the posts were.

10mins earlier Johnston did the same thing, back pass to keeper that was in effect on target, if the keeper makes a mistake its a goal, struck me at the time it was schoolboy stuff, a few feet to the other side was the textbook ball to rule out the potential for an OG

Kilcoo's last game was a revenge mission for 2023, they were perfectly aroused, its often hard to hit that mark twice in a row, the final boils down to who wants it most and it might be Errigal with their lack of Ulster and AI medals that prevails

Yeah he looked boyish in goals for a time, last few years, but he looks a different animal now, the biggest complement I can give him is they may consider cashing in on Alisson, would be a great achievement for his perseverance

4 shooters up front, Darragh and McCurry nailed on, a plethora of others to choose from and Ruairi must be near the front, anything reminiscent of the Adrian Cush role in the half forwards would be delightful and he looks well capable, 2025 a big year for him in Tyrone colours

Quote from: NotedObserver on October 31, 2024, 11:31:44 AMAny other news of call ups or the running trials?
Mark Bradley - Killyclogher
Rory Brennan - Trillick
Cathal Donaghy - Loughmacrory
Peter Teague - Dromore
Richie Donnelly - Trillick
Ben Gormley - Dungannon

Paul Donaghy turned down the chance to return. Never heard of anyone else.
Tiernan McCann called back up as well. Panel of 48 at present to be cut to 35 for the National League.

Fair play to Tiernan if he's gone back to trials and training panels, would be easy to say no entering mid 30s and with a couple of years having your freedom back, but it shows how much he values the jersey and if he could play a part even as supporting cast for a year or 2 i'm sure it would pay forward setting a standard and guiding younger players coming through, even if he doesn't make the 35 i'm impressed he's rolled the dice

Its important to keep Petey, Matty, Morgan and McCurry as long as it works for all while newer lads come through from recent U20 batches, lads on the bench/training group need club games if they aren't getting minutes for the county, that'll be a hot potato with the stared system, hopefully a solution can be found, even just base on minutes, player x has played 0 competitive minutes in 5 months ... release to club for league games, i'm sure they do similar with the international rugby team balancing between province and national teams

Might take the shine off the Tyrone championship though

Only way to make it the best competition in the world I guess...

UEFA have only gone and stolen the format of the GAA Masters All-Ireland, which as Tyrone people will attest, is actually the second best competition this side of Alpha Centuri. More power to them, anything that gives the likes of Celtic and Villa something to get excited about works for me, while it has its foibles its worth a go for a while to see how it pans out, although the likes of Villa and Celtic might have liked the safety net of dropping into the Europa I think its better that option isn't available

On another note, CE missed 1-3 in front of the posts in the first half, not clinical enough. And their kickout was demolished in the first half too

Quote from: Armamike on November 25, 2024, 10:54:57 AMBitter enough defeat for Clann Eireann. Had it in their grasp to win it.  The county players are probably sick of football at this stage of the year.  Shouldn't be surprised by Joe McQuillan anymore. The Canavans are clinical with their shooting.

CE lost because of Dublin Joe in my opinion. Sin e

Yes he most likely had an impact on the outcome due to rank incompetence, as bad as it gets at that level, needs put out to pasture

Quote from: ClubScene13 on November 25, 2024, 04:47:29 PMThey will be well in the game at the bare minimum, can't see anyone winning by any more than 1-3 points.

Agree with this, talk of 4-5 point gap either way is unlikely

Which team has the best wildcard from the bench, maybe someone who isn't the first sub or 2 in, maybe someone we haven't seen yet? A veteran county man to do a bit of boxing around the middle or a bear in the square? Or a young whippersnapper that no-one knows anything about that could make hay for a spell?
