And 73,602 today.

142,432 for the two football semi finals.

The two Hurling semi finals had roughly 92k
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Hill16, upper and lower canal end tickets was also on sale.  Currently on sale is the Nally and restricted view tickets in section 723 the restriction would be the big screen and seagulls flying around. Charging 45 euros for those tickets

Anyone ever remember that happening before? Even for a replay? You always know with kk playing tickets will be easier to get, but to go on general sale? Limerick is a big county going for 3 in a row, and then is the first of those 3 that many supporters would get a chance to attend.

Most recently the 2019,2016 and 2014 replay All Ireland hurling finals went on general sale.

Finals always have a lot of tickets distributed here and there. But with it being July and hotel prices being stratospheric then some people not from the counties may be less inclined to make a weekend of it Add to that the several thousand who would have been interested in the minor in former years
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

And the common denominator in all those finals as well as this year is KK

Any other hurling counties play each other and you wouldn't have tickets flying around

Very true re KK. I also get the feeling that they are not fully behind this team yet. Maybe that will change later. Given their achievements you could forgive them I suppose.

Also a reflection that Hurling is a minority sport in 25 Counties and indeed is a micro sport in 10 or 12 of them.

2019

Total GAA attendance

Hurling 688k
Football 800k

If Dublin hurlers had even half of the support of the footballers, you would see close to parity in attendances

The worst thing possible for football attendances would be for the likes of micro counties such as Roscommon being any way successful
