No. As per Jim Gavin on The GAA Social this week
Possible later in the league but unlikely he reckons. The handing the ball back needs to go immediately.

1,000 % . Stupid bloody rule

I'm surprised they  didn't bring in the naughty  corner for  failing to do that one

These new rules  are going to  be a disaster.

Latest thing I  read was about GK and outfield player  putting on and  taking off  jerseys  during play to get around the  keeper rules. Like wtf?

Anyone  remember Joey Tribbiani's game show? This is what these new rules  remind me of. Points for  answers answered  backwards, holding your breath bonuses, and  hopping bonuses and such like. Absolute nonsense.

Club match officials in particular are in  for a torrid time.

And the tooth fairy Austin, what's the latest?

Quote from: Armagh18 on January 23, 2025, 02:30:39 PMIn fairness I don't think Kilcoo appointing Gallagher makes Jarlath look any more foolish than he already did.

As long as he is consistent and contacts Kilcoo in the same way he did Naas. Kilcoo less likely to change their mind though.

But Gallagher could be secretly talking to dozens  of clubs. How would anyone  know, let alone Jarlath?

Another election?

No, a deal has been done. The independent group involved in government won't be recognised as technical group today, so won't have opposition speaking rights.

That should allow the election of MM as Taoiseach, and new government to follow.
Ceann Comhairle still to make final decision re how the independents will be treated.

Regardless of rights and wrongs, and I think everyone agrees the independents can't have it every way, the scenes in the Dáil yesterday were pathetic.

In what other profession would that sort of shouting and roaring be tolerated? They should all be embarrassed at themselves.
Daily reform needed as to how disagreements can be handled. Anyone roaring and ignoring CC should be immediately ejected from the chamber, and I think should be banned for X number of sitting days.
I'm loving the deflection.  Look over there! FFS.

Every political commentator has called this out for what it was. An anti-democratic stunt by Martin, Harris and their quisling Lowry. They tried to force this through by arrogance.  But they were found out.

This was their making and they knew it was going to happen. It was flagged 2 weeks ago. That's the whole point of this. They left Murphy in a fix. Washed their hands off her and then had their faux outrage last night. It was embarrassing alright...for Martin and Harris.

Let's hope, for everyone's sake, Martin and Harris drop their arrogance and show a bit more humility going forward.

I noticed they put  the blame on SF last night.  It's all about  the SF-bashing, keeping  them out and keeping them down

As seen with Martin's  disgusting comments about the  Troubles  a few weeks ago.

Nothing surprises  me about those  two.

Take it United are still paying a fair bit of his wages? What a woeful signing.

Better to be paying half his wages with him not at the club.
Than playing full wages and him doing nothing while at the club.
Absolutely.

How many post Fergie signings could actually be called value for money? Bruno? (Not including this years signings where the jury is still out) obviously the likes of Di Maria and Lukakau they at least recouped some money for.

Pogba, Mount, Casemiro, etc etc absolutely mad money spent for little or no return on the field.

Ok he was free, but  Zlatan was probably the biggest signing success post-Fergie . He was great that  season before  getting injured

Quote from: Jell 0 Biafra on January 21, 2025, 09:14:09 PMDoubt I'd know 3 of his songs.

There's not many musical acts since the 1990s for which I could name 3 songs.

I'm perpetually lost in a distant musical era.

Similar here. Anything after  about  2001 or 02, I haven't a clue

I honestly don't think it's  a case  of  turning into Abe Simpson , but  the vast majority of music  this last  20 odd years has been absolutely  woeful. You have to go backwards  if you want to discover 'new' artists
