Derry goin with the tried and tested once again.

Team named just the same as the one that actually started the Ulster Final: Heron replacing Padraig Cassidy in the starting line up.
The two lads that missed out on the Ulster Final 26 are still out - M Downey and O McWilliams

Is M Downey injured or just struggling to make the step up to senior?

How many games are played in the Antrim senior league?

Close friend is currently raising money for a charity close to their families hearts.

They are considering raffling or auctioning 2 x tickets for the game. Nothing confirmed yet, although if anyone is interested PM me and I can send you more details if/when it's happening.

Jeez it's serious stuff, no idea what Derry do.

Although it would be a case of innocent until proven guilty?

Usually when stuff like this happens in professional sport (I don't remember anything similar in GAA) it's usually the pressure from the sponsors that dictate what happens next.

Lads who the Baker on the senior panel? What club? Thought i knew all the players, but i guess not
Steelstown

He was fairly impressive in the Sigerson I thought. No idea what age he is or if he played on any recent Derry underage teams.

General discussion / Favourite Pub in Ireland

What would be your favourite pub in ireland? Can be North or South.

Might be a bar you've been to once, visit once a year, or go to every weekend.

A few of us talking about doing a tour of Ireland this summer and trying to visit good bars along the way. 2 fellas have already stated 2 bars that we have to visit.

  • Sean's Bar, Athlone. (Ireland and Europe's oldest, still functioning, bar)
  • Johnny Foxes, Glencullin. (Anyone who's been will know why)

Hopefully Ryan Murrays injury isn't as bad as it sounds. Would be a big miss to LD & Antrim.

£4.40 in Downpatrick in most places

Went to Lavery's comedy club last night, £5.90 a Guinness. 4 of us, a round was £23.60, steep for 4 pints.

A great boost for Down in Armagh last night. Odhran Murdock and Oisin Savage are different gravy.

Both were superb!

I only saw the Derry 1st 15 named so details of the wider panel, and no info regarding the Down team at all.

The Derry lads in question could yet be named in the 26 and the few changes before throw in take place.

I'm only going of the Derry twitter page so apologies if the 26 have been named elsewhere.

Both teams only named 24 in the programme.

have all the downeys transferred over to st.Brids or what is the story?

Oran & Enda played last week for St Bridget's.

Matthew & Callum are named for Derry's U20 Ulster Final & their club on the programme is 'St Bridget's'

So there's definitely 4 away, Shea is on the county senior panel, so time will tell with him.

Total short termism from Gallagher. No consideration for the players in this team and what winning this does do to their county self belief for the future. All about his own position and one game in a few days time.

Probably shows the difference in having an 'inside' and an 'outside' manager. If Down win the u20's and Derry win an Ulster senior championship have both managers made the right call?
