I get that the GAA could have done something sooner but who the f**k was in charge of Parnells both Chairperson and Treasurer signing off on all of this crazy spending? The audits raised these issues 10 years ago and it seems like they still never cut their cloth to stay within their means.

Also who was in charge of the commercial entity and allowing all of those costs to spiral?

I've a bit of experience of being on a club committee but I can't fathom how something that started so positively could go so wrong!! Is it just sheer greed?

The GAA equivalent of Anglo Irish Bank.

Crazy stuff. Seems the GAA HQ are taking a bit of flack over it but hardly their fault. Only thing was they could have stepped in earlier.

The wage bill from 1 year to the next is staggering. Cluxton even wrote a letter to club members saying why he dropped down a playing grade.

Hopefully Pobal Parnells get running again properly and provide a playing outlet etc. for the people of Coolock.

It was good to see Stephen Cluxton come out strong on it.

Pobal Parnell apparently.
