There's a malaise in this team. I know there's a lot of new faces but as a county we are in freefall under this management.

Quote from: RedHand88 on May 28, 2024, 03:49:34 PMDo Tyrone need to drop the policy of only employing from within the county?

Can't see that happening. Think only us, Dublin and Kerry have this policy (I stand to be corrected). Personally, I want the policy to continue. It would be an admission that there's no one good enough within the county to do the job. I would never believe that.

John Donnelly was a Fermanagh man. Think when Tyrone won Ulster in 56 & 57 Gerry Brown was from Down. 1st AI minor team was managed by a Dub Peter O'Reilly.

R McHugh named on the subs for U20's tomorrow. Anyone know if red card appealed?

And yet 3 teams have spent more since Guardiola's been at the club on transfers.
And spurs not far off them in 4th

Within the rules?

Quote from: Rossfan on May 12, 2024, 09:40:48 AMIt was indeed stupid. No need for it.

As for the match itself we were well beaten by a superb team.
Size, pace, S&C all miles ahead of us.
We had a great rally after half time but messed up a few chances to equalise or get ahead.
Outscored 1-8 to 0-2 after.
Shocking small attendance 1,521 (80% at least Ros) for an All Ireland semi final, no sense of occasion about the whole thing, no promotion of any kind leading up to it etc.
Would having 2 week breaks between Provincial Finals, AI semis and Final cause the sky to fall?
Could still be done and dusted by end of May.

It's a pity as Tyrone just got him back from injury.

There was over 20000 foreigners armed to the teeth in the north for years don't remember any of these far right groups about then.

Quote from: clarshack on April 21, 2024, 05:13:27 PMAnother example of Tyrone being refereed differently again. How can one be a yellow card and the other black?

Did you see the whole incident or just what we seen on the telly?
To be fair the BBC could not find why there was 1 black and 1 yellow appeared bizzarre, a big call that impacted on the game. Do you know why?

I only seen what the telly showed, as did most? My thinking is the the Tyrone man pulled him to the ground and what we seen was the grabbing each about on TV

The Cavan player had Hampsey by the leg. If Hampsey had fell to the ground would that have been a black card?

I wonder does he bring up payments when the 93 team get together. Fair amount of that team have managed teams in Tyrone and not for nothing.

Quote from: NotedObserver on April 10, 2024, 10:40:34 PMDaly a class act and the half back line would be fairly strong as well with all impressing tonight. Ohare electric pace which is hard to handle at any level

Brolly & O'Hare always willing runners on the wing. Rafferty quality through the centre. Gormley will be a major loss if injury keeps himon the sidelines going into the knockout rounds. MCCullagh McCann & Grimes off the bench are quality assets to have
Under 20 season over for him by all accounts. McHugh probably come back into the middle and O'Neill or McCann probably fill the role that Gormley was playing.
Probably leave the team looking like:
McAneney
Clarke Hughes Devlin
O'Hare Daly Rafferty
McHugh O'Neill/Fox
Devlin/Brolly McElholm Potter
Owens Cassidy O'Neill/McCann
And that still leaves McCullagh and Grimes and the men who don't get the nod.
What's the issue with Gormley and McHugh?

McHugh dislocated shoulder but good to go. By all accounts he was to get a run out last night. Gormley has a hand injury not football related I believe.

Away with that shite. A division 4 team wouldn't have taken that big of a beating. Should Dooher resign?
