the dan is in. thats an unreel management team. gas to think all the lads here givin the cb shite. they took there time and got the right men. few lads mite feel bit silly today

I would be of the opinion that an incoming county manager should be confirmed before the quarter final stages of the Laois hurling championship so that they get an opportunity to sample the best Laois club teams hurling do-or-die in order to grasp an appreciation for the state of the game west of Portlaoise.

Down to Joe McDonagh for 2023. Kerry almost did the greatest of comebacks. That pointed free from a non tackle surely cost them.

Long range shooting let us down with a few very bad wides. We needed that early goal chance to go in to settle. Thought we made a few bad passing decisions. Pity about this result, a good minor team that done us proud all the same this year.

Watched him lord it in the air V Kilkenny hurling at U21 level a while back now - nobody lorded it in the air V the Cats in those days. An immense athlete and would have been the best at any sport he took up. Thanks for all of your service playing County JOL.

Good performance by the minors. If half our goal chances were converted we'd have won well.
Quinlan is a joy to watch.
Referee should have worn a Galway shirt.
All to play for V Clare next Saturday. I'd be quietly confident.

Is it not galway first at home next week?
Last week it clearly said on the GAA site that we would play the losing team from Galway V Clare.
Now it doesn't.
Strange.
Galway in Portlaoise tomorrow at midday I believe.

P45 for Cheddar.

Unfortunately so. I feel sorry for Cheddar - great dedication for Laois hurling, but his tactics were never great and rarely got the best out of the team.

Compared to Eddie Brennan, the Laois lads were lined out to get the best out of the team.

Where does Laois senior hurling go from here. Hope for a Kerry win next weekend to stay up, or go down to the dog fight that is the JMD Cup?

5-24 to 1-18 in the finish.
An 18pt beating.
We're back four or five years when we nearly crashed out of the JMD. We've regressed to Offaly's level.

Half time Laois 1-11 v 1-12 Westmeath.
They'll have the breeze in the second half.

Galway 0-25 v 0-09 Clare.

We've Clare then next week.

A win will see us through to the AI Semis.

If we draw, we need to not loose by more than 15pts to Galway and we will get through on scoring difference.

It's all in our hands now.
