Brazil never lost a game while Pele and Garrincha played together. But that was mostly down to Garrincha. In 62 Garrincha drove on Brazil after Pele was injured in second group game. Pele never carried Brazil. Garrincha did.
Garrincha was an 'Indio', illiterate and a chronic alcoholic. Not very media friendly that. Not the type of lad to promote viagra or anything else.
But even if it comes down to a number 10 from Brazil I would have Zico as the best.

Hmm. All those things are widely known. But I've never read any poll where it says Brazilians think he's their best ever player. I read a biography on him recently and it never hinted at that.
