Annoyed to hear this. Great character. Checked him in imdb while back and he didn't seem to do a pile else
(The black guy is in eastenders ATM but I digress)

The staff  appraisal bit with Gervais was brilliant. He was in little  Britain and Miranda  ,  and   he did voiceover work too.

There  was reports of him  being looked after   in a care home.  Looks like it was  more complicated than ezcema.

Quote from: Kidder81 on February 20, 2024, 08:46:22 AMAndreas Brehme, German player who scored the winning goal in the 1990 WC final
Brehme scored that penalty with his right foot, after scoring a free kick with his left in the semi v England.

The only player in World Cup history to score in penalty shootouts with both right foot and left foot. He said his left foot had more power and his right foot was more accurate

Not surprised he looks pale if he died some time ago.

Was reading his Obituary, this bit caught my attention:

As old school as they came, Nicholl spoke to players in a language they understood. One of his players, Micky Adams, recalled Nicholl's assessment of their performances after a game. He'd go around the room and tell us, one by one: not bad,did all right, shit,w**ker. You'd sit sit there and think please don't give me a w**ker, a shit will do today because I know I've not played well.

Think I've heard Alan Shearer tell a similar story.
