Without wanting to sound hyperbolic, I would sat we are going to need a miracle to beat Donegal without him.

Do we know at this stage who is definitely out for the Donegal game?

Murray/Loughlin/Murphy/Rogers/Tohill/Lynch/McFaul?

If we are missing all of these guys and McKinless and Clucky, we basically got a reserve team out.
For arguments sake, lets say none of the above can play, what does the team look like?
Something like this maybe?

McKinless
Baker McEvoy Bradley
McGurk McGrogan CD
    Glass
    Higgins
Ethan  Toner  Cassidy
McCarron Shane Devlin

Leaves us with an empty bench too.

It's behind a paywall, what does it say about Murray & Loughlin?

McFaul played the 1st day out Vs Tyrone & played 70mins vs Galway and hasn't been since. What's his injury?

Vastly-experienced midfielder/full-back Brendan Rogers will miss the Donegal clash while midfielder Anton Tohill is also out after he broke his hand against Armagh last Sunday. Goalkeeper Odhran Lynch and corner-back Conor McCluskey are ruled out and may not feature until late in the season, if at all. Playmaker Ciaran McFaul is also struggling with injury, as are Lachlan Murray and Niall Loughlin. Gareth McKinless (cruciate) and Niall O'Donnell (hamstring) have not featured this season.
"Conor (McCluskey) is a long-term injury," confirmed manager Paddy Tally.

Forget about Donegal

Derry 2-24 - Armagh 0-13 U20s

Strong games from O. Doherty, Rory Small, Eamon Young very shifty as usual

I would be very surprised if Rogers/McFaul/Murray/Loughlin weren't togged for the Donegal game!

Have to commend all involved in implementing the youth structure in our county. Very good victory especially after running the bench in the second half. Arrogant bunch those Armagh lads. Not much to be arrogant about though.

Must be 10 different starting players to the Galway minor semi of 3 years ago.

Newbridge Exile

McEldowney,McGuckian Forbes and McDermott probably the only starters from the minor team of three years ago

Surely Damien McErlaine must be considered to be one of the most successful managers in Derry county football. The missing link for some of these players to make the grade to senior has to be a successful u20 team which we havenotbeengoodat in thepast. Hopefully he can now be the man to make that happen. Pity he was not a success at senior but maybe that was down to availability of players at that time.

I'd say a big part of the reason we haven't been as successful @ u20 (u21) as minors is that level was only paid lip service until this year. Mackers has all available u20s at his disposal, all held back from the senior squad. A couple of players missing too
