People said we couldn't win an AI with Canavan, we def are struggling without PTG, the 2*Brians and a fit Stevie O'Neill.

Ive been saying that all summer. Tyrone could win an AI without Canavan, but when you then take away McGuigan for the summer, Dooher injured and O' Neill only fit for 15 minute cameos then its a shadow of the team it was and not AI contenders. No county around could ship those losses and maintain the same level of performance.

Deserved win for Meath, good luck to them for the rest of the championship.

tyrone and sligo looked so poor today it defies logic, imo their victims of the long lay-of since the provincial finals or at least thats a large part of it. kerrys turn next week to see if we can still play football after 6 weeks. feel esp. sorry for tyrone fans tonight...

Sure you do.

Meath did their best to squander a mtach winning position continuosly in the second half but limped over the line in the end despite missing some glaring opportunities.
If Bray, Farrell and o'rourke can develop the killer instinct that GG possesses they could be hard to stop. must confess i love their style of play and you have to hand it to the meath midfield, moyles, farrel and especailly mom Faye for a great performance.
