Has anyone any recommendations for a VPN that allows someone in the Republic of Ireland to access the BBC iPlayer? I've tried both ExpressVPN and NordVPN, and struck out with both (by which I mean, the iPlayer software has dectected that I'm using a VPN, rather than the VPN failing to identify me as a Mancunian, or whatever).

Likewise from the north is it possible to access RTE player on a smart tv?

Have you tried EXVPN on the player url, not the app.

Use SmartDNS, not a VPN. Been running it on a fire stick for iPlayer and my Prime UK account in Spain for the last 8 years without a bother.

That link might help with what gallsman has mentioned above

This is the one I've been using. Never realised there was a service included with Nord (which I also use).
