Annoyingly, GAAGO took last years games down just as I was about to make the video, it can be hard enough getting quality GAA footage (you'd think they'd make it easier for fans like, the NBA has realised it's actually a good way to grow the game)...but this means that the clips are from all over the show (some not as good quality as I'd like), but hopefully the video turned out well.

Just another general tribute to our wonderful sport, so a mixture of old and new clips. I had done a few videos a couple of years back, but just took a notion to make another one.

Any suggestions or tips for future vids are welcome :)

Great work. There's a lot of nice slo mo footage out there now that you can mix up nicely.

Personally I don't believe in using trad Irish music for hurling videos. It's not just that traditional isn't my cup of tea, I feel like the pace of the music doesn't quite fit the energy of hurling or match the pace of it. I also try to avoid portraying it as just an Irish sport for Irish people, it's much more than that.

Cheers man. Seems to divide people the use of Irish music, I don't intend to suggest that it's solely for Irish people, but it is nevertheless a fact that it is an Irish sport. I have used other music in one of my older vids, but it's not exactly super pump-up music either -

I think some traditional stuff works well, but I probably won't for the next one I do.

Very good, and liked the way there were no clips of the aristocrats of ulster football, lol.

Well I did have a clip of Offaly scoring a cracker against them in the '61 final lol. But it wasn't intentional!

Great video. Loved how it showed the dummy sold by (Armagh player name??) against Donegal in slow motion then in full speed. Not sure if it's all the same sequence but it gives that effect.

By the way blocked in England on YouTube. Watched on Vimeo.

That clip was of Aaron Kernan.

Good stuff

I think Irish music and hurling is a great combo

Bits I wouldn't mind seeing :

Jer the rigger by Hayes and Cahill Live in Seattle
Go west along the road by Hayes and Cahill live in Seattle
Si bheag si mhor  by Planxty

Really good hurling quotes could work as well

It's an honour to be playing against them lads.
-Pause-
And bating them

I think you must have belief that you can do something. You must believe that you can do it.

I knew I was strong from hitting against fellas, older fellas and that . You felt that « well, I could take that fella » type of thing.

As the years went on you would say to yourself I'm sorry I didn't do this or that. If you were to go back a second time you would play different really. You would do different things . But you don't get a second chance.

They all went to Thurles to see Mackey giving an exhibition. He carried the whole Limerick support on his shoulders.

Say you could juxtapose Mackey with limerick winning last year

Thanks mate :) Good suggestions, I was thinking it'd be a good idea to break up the music with a few more audio clips over the top.

Must be odd for the players though, having to go again. Maybe the antrim guys will be geared up to set things right (from their point of view), whereas after all the joy and celebrations it's probably even stranger from a Meath pov.
